nursingstudent543- You're right, MN was fast! And they are accepting official transcript before the graduation date. Actually, my Graduation is on 19th of March (like yours, btw - Congrats!), but they already let me sit for the boards. I passed my NCLEX on March 3rd. And they posted my results on MN BON website the next day! I didn't even had to wait 48 hours!

Love MN!

Awww I'm so jealous... and annoyed at excelsior for not telling me about MN. Oh well. Too late now. I'm happy for you tho... congrats again!

Happydrunkcat... btw, can you keep me posted on how long it takes to get your endorsement? Like from the time you applied to FL, til the time you get your license. Just so I can plan once I get my NC license. Thanks!!!

I just started with Excelsior, currently studying for Health Safety. I am in Florida. Couple weeks ago I called the BON and they said they are currently reviewing Excelsior students application on a case to case basis. Like most people I think I will take it in another States. If Anyone leaves near West Palm beach, looking for a study buddy. :)

Excelsior at first told me to apply to NC but just this past week they told me they were changing their tune because NC was taking too long. Now they tell everyone in Fl to apply to MN.

I am also curious how long the process is for endorsement to FL?

anyone know?

I think they were saying NC because it is cheap, only $70. But I would gladly pay more to get my license sooner. Ughhh... trying to be patient still. NC site says all my documents have been received but i'm still waiting for my ATT.

MN is fast :) You have to go to their website, print the "Completion of education" paper, fill it up and send it to EC. EC will verify it and send it to MN BON.

I also filled up all applications (one for the license by exam on MN BON website, second - on Pearsonview website for NCLEX itself, and third - for license by endorsement on FL BON website) online at the beginning of Feb.

EC sent me a letter with "Your documents are on the way to MN BON" on Feb. 16th. I got my ATT on Feb. 19th. Passed my NCLEX on March 3rd.

I didn't send my fingerprints to FL BON untill I passed the NCLEX (I know, that was stupid), so, FL BON just got them today. Now I'm waiting for FL BON to verify my license and that will be it :)

So do you recommend that I fill out my application for endorsement with florida now and send my fingerprints?

If I could do it again, I would send everything right away. The application is good for a year (I think) so I'd have plenty of time to pass the NCLEX.

Oh ok... awesome... thanks... I will do that today!

Hi Everyone,

I recently relocated to florida from new york and i am interested in doing the lpn to rn at excelsior. I have been hearing alot of mixed reviews about the school but everyone here has positive feedback. I just enrolled in the school and i am waiting for the to review my college transcript. Can u guys give me any pointers, like what to expect from the school and how long does it take to complete the program?
