Searching through this forum for Downey Adult school's LVN program, there is really no information given. So I was wondering if anyone has any info on this school and if there are any pre-requisites(excluding the fundamental nursing course) one has to take to get into the program for example, cna classes? or previous working experience in the medical field? etc.
Hi everyone,
I just found out about Downey Adult School and its LVN program seems really promising. I'm very interested in trying to get into the program, but the acceptance process seems kind of lengthy. How long after you take the entrance exam do they inform you of whether you've been accepted into the pre-vn course? And after that, how long after the pre-vn course do they tell you whether you've gotten into the program? I also go to community college (trying to get my pre-req's out of the way for RN), and I'd hate to waste a semester waiting around for an answer. I'm really excited about this program and I'm hoping I can get in. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone! :)

Hello LiMy. or somebody who knows something......I have a question about entering this school, the LVN at downey. Let's say I am a college student. I took all prerequisites for LVN. If I want to apply for LVN program there, at downey school, do you think that I have to take test again or I just provide them my transcripts?

I made it to the PRE-LVN program at Downey Adult School! Now we take a 5 week course twice a week and by MAY they will pick 30 +3 alternates to take the full LVN program. Did anyone else here make it?
