Anyone have experience with Virginia Mason in Seattle?

I have been offered a position with Virginia Mason in Seattle for their New grad RN residency. Has anyone been through their training program as a new grad nurse and can shed some light on how it is?

I love it here! I got off orientation abt 3 months ago. Been on my own since. The manager who is in charge of my residency and the educator are lovely! They’re so patience, understanding. It’s a great a program and it’s only a year commitment, not two. It is not a trauma center though. But we do do big cases!

When are the start dates for the residency? I applied but I am in Oregon for school and I don’t graduate till May

Wondering how is orientation peri op 101 in Virginia Mason is, if anyone have any clue. Thanks ahead

Hello W2019,

I went through their Periop 101 years ago. I am now an OR educator and still admire their training. But...as in any unit, there are ups and downs about everything else. Please feel free to let me know if you have any other specific questions and I'll provide my private email.
