I contacted admissions late last week via email and was told that they'd be letting people know in early January and that there were 450 applications for 50 slots! (YIKES!)

Please let me know if you hear anything new. Best of luck to you both!

I applied as well! I can't wait till we find out! last year they sent out two rounds of letters, one in dec and one in jan...i wonder if they will do two rounds again this year?

Any new updates from anyone regarding acceptance letters or phone calls for MGH's Accelerated BSN Spring '09? The anticipation is killing me! I've read such mixed responses -some saying within the next few days/next week and others saying early January. Do people think they might be sending out two rounds like they did last year? I keep checking the mail and waiting by the phone- it's driving me nuts. I really hope we know by Christmas time, if not sooner. :specs:

I hadn't heard that they might be starting to contact people in the next few days, but that sure would be nice!

Hi All,

I was told that they would try to send them out BEFORE they go on their holiday break. But since they used the word "try" I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't happen until January. With 450 applications to review I'm sure it may take them a bit longer than originally expected! So nerve-racking! I really wish they had the capacity to open up more seats in the nursing schools! I've been trying not to get too nervous about my prospects but the closer that we get, the more real it all becomes!

Good news! I have a friend in the program now and she said that their accepting 85 people this year. Woohoo! Every little bit helps right? I also heard they are not ready to send out letters yet. Which is a bummer..

So far she really likes it! Its a lot of work but she's still able to work a little on the side to make some money which is nice. The sched varies a lot by semester, i think this past semester it was something like class one day a week, clinicals two days a week lab one day a week. I'm not exact on that. Also one weekend a month is class allllll day. She said the blended learning (with some online classes) work out really well, and i think all her classmates get along great and are very supportive of each other.
