  1. Hi ladies! I will be at orientation - ordered my stethoscope last week and am really excited to meet everyone :wink2: I don't know about you but I'm already feeling a bit overwhelmed with all of the paperwork/financial aid/scheduling. I'm hoping that they'll cover more of that stuff at orientation. Any idea what courses we'll be taking in the Fall?
  2. hi all! i will be starting at simmons in the fall (more like july actually) in the direct entry msn program, and wanted to say hi and start a thread for future classmates. has anyone else made their decision yet? i sent in my deposit and have gotten several letters with lots of different information. i'm really excited to start and can't wait to move back up to boston (even if it means eating ramen for a while ) i look forward to chatting with and meeting everyone!! -geneva :)
  3. Hey ysara, I don't know if you're already in a chem class or not, but I found out that the one I'm taking covers both prereqs. Its the General, Organic and Biochemistry at Weber State. Its an online course, and it may be a bit pricey (just about $3000), but since it covers the two courses, maybe its worth it? Hope that's helpful!!
  4. I got a letter from Simmons yesterday - I'm in!! :) I still have to finish the chem prereq and take developmental psych there in the summer, so I was accepted provisionally, but I'm so excited!!! Anyone else hear?
  5. With regard to the Accelerated BSN program in Boston - to those who applied last year, when were you notified of your status? And was the due date the same as this year (February 1st)? Thanks! -G :)
  6. Thanks Rookie! That definitely helps! :)
  7. To all the people who have been accepted, First - congratulations! I am very excited for you, as I'm sure you all are! Second, I was wondering if someone could tell me when the deadline is to accept and/or have your deposit in by. I'm trying to get some sense of when admissions may have an idea of how many spots are opening up for people who are waitlisted. Any info would be great. Thanks!! :)
  8. Hey DiDi, I got the same letter. I want to call and see if they can give me any more info, like how many people are on the list, if there were a lot of people on the list that ended up getting in last year, but it sounds like they don't want people calling about it. Good luck to you and keep us posted!! G
  9. cwh - I got the same email, which also said..."If you are receiving this email, it is because you are in the second group whose decisions letters will be going out on or after January 15th". So I'm guessing we shouldn't expect to hear anything either way until after the 15th? Still keeping my fingers crossed.....
  10. Thanks for the advice, Rookie! Hopefully we'll find out soon so I know if I definitely need to take the course or not. It looks like people were notified last year around this time, but a few people have contacted the Admissions office and they've been saying early January. I've been trying to distract myself from thinking too much about it, but that's not working as well as I'd hoped, haha. Good luck everyone! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! :)
  11. I am too! Wow - December 15th is right around the corner...Good luck to both of you! :)
  12. Hi! I am also applying for next year's Accelerated BSN program. Graduated from NU in 2006 and I'm hoping to head back up to Boston for some more school. Also applying to Simmons' Direct MSN program and UMASS' Accelerated BSN. After reading through everyone's posts I'm really excited, but also super nervous!! I still have to cram the chem prereq in if I get into MGH. At the info session, they said we don't need labs for that course - anyone know of any online courses that would be acceptable?
