I am waiting to hear back from Holmes about their ADN program. Is anyone else?
Sounds like you meet all the requirements. Holmes goes on a point system - kinda elimination from the top down - highest GPA and ACT scores, then people with pre-reqs. Age seems to have nothing to do with it. I'm 44, was accepted as an alternate for fall at first, but did receive a letter of acceptance. Was possibly accepted as an alternate because I am taking A&P now and do not have a grade yet, but will before they start in the fall, or maybe others had higher on the ACT, even though I had high enough score to qualify for entry....Does all that make sense? Sounds like you are sure to get in whenever you apply, especially because of your GPA and pre-reqs done. Good luck!!
Ok that makes me even more nervous. I only have a 20 on my ACT. If anyone else that did get in is willing to, please tell me about your GPA or ACT scores. Does anyone know how many they accept? I hope everyone doesn't think I am being too personal about your scores, but I am just wondering how I stack up to those that did get in.

I am so glad for the ones of you that got accepted. I will be applying for the ADN evening/weekend classes when apps come out on Sept.1. I have taken all of my regular courses ( A&P I, A&P II, Nutrition, Micro, etc.) so all I need are the nursing courses. My GPA is 3.75 and I meet all of the ACT requirements. I was just wondering if any of you that did get in know if my chances of getting in are really strong because of this or exactly how they pick you? Also, are there any older students on here that have gone back to school and gotten in? I am 37 and am afraid that will hinder my chances of getting in. Please give me any input that you can. Thanks so much!!
