Who are you taking A&P and nursing 101 with?

I am second year evening student.

Hello everyone,

Can anyone give me information on the time nursing classes are given? I checked out the website and it stated that classes are from 8 am to 3pm. Are the no evening classes? I work during the day and just wanted to see what options St. Vincent's had to offer.

Thanks for any info you have to offer!

St Vincent's does have a part time evening program. This is from there website "Students may enroll for less than 12 credits a semester, and complete the required curriculum on a part-time basis. Taking nursing courses on a part-time basis usually requires three (3) years for completion. Faculty advisors will assist students in planning their course schedules in order to complete the program within five (5) years. Courses taught during evening hours will also include weekend days." Hope this helps. Erika

I am in the nursing evening program and will be graduating in 7 months. The lecture is one day a week, either monday or tuesday evening. Every Saturday is clinical, usually from 7-2pm or 8-3pm. Thursday evening is assessment night, for about 2 hours. I like the evening program because I work full time and could not afford to quit my job. If I can answer anymore questions, please let me know.

I am taking evening classes at St. Vincent's college. Classes usually start at 5:30 or 6:00 (depends on the class). I have one class that runs 5:30 to 9:30pm. Saturday is 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. Hope that helps.

Thanks your info was very helpful!

Hi! Wow, am I excited to find this website. I have applied to STVC for nursing for Fall 2009. I am extremely nervous because I must continue to work full-time and go to school at night. I see that you are doing the same. Is it actually manageable?

The evening nursing program is manageable. I started back in 2006, and so far, I have passed every semester. It is a matter of staying focus, prioritizing and managing time wisely. I have more semester left and I cannot wait. So far for me, this is my easiest semester (med surg iv). When I started back in 2006, there were 40 students, now there are 12 of us left from that original class. The program is intense, but not impossible to pass. If I assist you with anything else, please send me a private message. I will be happy to assist you with notes or any questions. Good luck you!

Thank you for your quick response. I think I am unable to private message until I post 15 times?? Anyway, I appreciate your help. Did you have to take all of your classes at STVC or did you have some already?
