Woo hoo!!! Saturday I received my certified letter that I was accepted into the Park accelerated LPN-RN Bridge!! I am so excited!!

I will graduate from my LPN Program June 21st and have RN/ADN Orientation and Enrollment on June 24th!! Wow! :D

Anyone else here going to be joining me?! Are you excited? Nervous? Happy? I know 3 other wonderful women that will be going into the program and would like to know more!! Sign in and introduce yourself!!! Love to get to know you!

I have just decided to go ahead with my nursing dream. 34 and having to go back to school. I have checked out MCC ADN program and have heard rumors about the long wait. I am not sure if I should just go the BSN route or see about an LPN program and then bridge. Can you tell me what LPN program you are in. Thanks in advance for advice. :)

I myslef decide to drop the MCC route altogther as far as the ADN program goes- the wait is beyond rediculous!!- Then again- there is a waiting list for most colleges (reputable ones anyway). This is the route I am taking: I will be doing the LPN program @ MCC while taking the necessary pre- reqs for St. Lukes College of Nursing (2year Bachelors program). Its whats best for me- So I recommend finding whats best for you!! I have heard nothing but great things about Park! That is actually my plan B school!! Good Luck!!!:yeah:

I'll be going to Park, this fall! :D I am nervous about it, it's coming up too fast. I wish I could tell you more about what to expect, but I don't really know either. Are you going to be working, while in the program? I'll be working on Fri. & Sat.'s. I hope it will work out ok. I work nights, so Friday's might be tough, but I will have to manage. Have you heard much about the program? I don't know anyone else that's going this year. Dconnors, do you work with the 3 ladies that are also going to Park this fall?

Hey...congrats on your acceptance to Park U this fall, I am in too! Look forward to meeting you later this month.

Hey there! Congratulations to you too!! It's going to be an exciting transition. I am more excited about having a month off for Christmas as anything else...lol. I'm also ready for the short break between the LPN Program I am in now and the RN Program. Still, I can't wait.

Hey there!! Congratulations on your acceptance to Park! It'll be wonderful I am sure!! 5 people, including myself, from the LPN Program I am currently in (Graduate in 2 weeks) applied to Parks Bridge Program. All 5 of us were accepted. We are in a very difficult, but exceptional LPN Program and the fact that all who applied to Park this year were accepted, speaks volumes. We started with 27 in our program last year and are now down to 17. We are hoping to have a 100 percent NCLEX pass rate just like last years class. I can't wait to meet you!!

If you don't mind me asking, where going for your LPN.

Nice to meet you guys going to Park! I left a comment on another Park thread and then found you guys here! So read the other one too lol! I am excited and nervous. I feel like it is a good program and was really pleased at the info session i went to a while back.. The loans, not so happy about but I am hoping to find a place that might help me pay them back! I hear they are out there just have to find them throughout this next year. I just graduated from ATS May 20th and took my boards yesterday. I don't feel so good about them. Honestly, I think i kind of got a little too cocky thinking "I got in to Park this will be a breeze" and didn't study as much as I should of! Then when it came to yesterday, my nerves were shot and I regreted not studying more! I will get to get the quick results on tuesday! Keep your fingers crossed! What program are you and your friends in? ANybody in or around lenexa or in johnson county?

Hey there!! I went to Cass Career Center too!! I just graduated on June 21st. Took the NCLEX July 9th and found out I passed on July 11th!! The Cass Program is EXCEPTIONAL. The instructors are fabulous. I will tell you that you get out of it what you put into it. They will tell you as you go along in your studies that the goal is to pass the NCLEX, but you won't actually "get it" until you receive your ATT letter (auth to test for the NCLEX)....then you will be like "Holy crap!" It's an accelerated program and you will spend many hours studying and preparing, but last year, they had a 100 percent pass rate and this year, so far everyone that has taken the NCLEX has passed as well. Also, everyone that went through the Cass Program and made it through who applied to Park and took the tests and completed entry requirements was accepted. I can't tell you how much that speaks for the Cass Program. Ms. Timmons, Mrs. Wesemann, Mrs. Ripley, Mrs. Meyer....wonderful nurses and wonderful women. Listen to them. They will teach you so much. Try to enjoy the year in LPN school as much as possible. You will make some lifelong friendships and memories you won't soon forget. I would like to stay in touch with you and see how your year at CCC goes if you don't mind. Send my love to the instructors...I think they will remember me. LOL

I will be sure to do that! I would love to keep in touch with you. I am curious to know how Park works out for you. You can be my go-to gal when I get discouraged:nuke: I am planning on working Three nights a week waiting tables during the school year. Is that something I will be able to manage while devoting enough time to my studies?
