Anyone else applying to OU's accelerated BSN program in San Diego?

Published

Just wanted to know if anyone else from san diego has applied or is going to apply to the University of Oklahoma's online Accelerated BSN program?

a link to their webpage is http://www.ounursing.com

Ok, cant figure this site out yet. Anyhoo, I was trying to respond to a response I received re: the OU accelerated nursing program in San Diego that no longer exists and now SDSU is not going forward with program. I did hear that they are currently setting up basically the same program from a CA college. They would not say which college until the details are pinned down, but its a sure go. Anyone have the inside scoop of which college they are working with (its going to be one of two being considered). They wouldnt tell me, so thought someone on the sight might know? The info is formally going to be released in Dec sometime.

Also, someone on here mentioned that the job market is terrible right now for nurses in San Diego. Is that right??? I'd sure like to know that early on.

All comments/input greatly appreciated.

SDSU is out of talks with the company that brokers the program, Orbis education. Something political happened with the chancellor not approving the program...anywho, some of the applicants that got accepted are upset b/c now there is no program and they were left with no program to go into after some already rejected other schools acceptance. There was a whole hoopla over that mess. It seems the hospitals are on board, just waiting for a CA school to grant the degree and assess the curriculum. hughhhhh.

anybody got anymore information regarding this?? please post, it would be much appreciated!
