Anyone else apply to Sutter Extended Campus in Sacramento?

Tick tock tick tock... I'm dying to hear back. *taps foot*

Thanks biobabe, I turned in the paperwork and paid the fees the day I got the letter:p. The lady who helped me didn't give me the admittance packet; I guess she wasn't aware what to give me. She seemed kinda lost. The next day ---- emailed me saying she would mail it to me. What is in the packet?

Hey Biobabe and crutschm- how much money did they ask for and what paperwork are you having to fill out?

I can only imagine how excited you must be. I'm only an alternate, but I'm really looking forward to attending the orientation. Wish it was next week already.

Crutschm, fill out the paperwork, get your two passport photos (don't let them crop them to fit into the little envelopes!), and buy your background check ($98) online ASAP. The paperwork is due back by the 4th of August or you forfeit your spot in the program (so it reads). You will need two checks, one for $20 malpractice ins. and $16(I think) for patches and badges. The paperwork explains it all. 2bgr8nurse, hope this answers your question too. You all will have to come up and introduce yourselves at orientation!

I will. We will all have to wear badges with our Allnurses names on them so we know who each of us are. HAHAHAHA. So does the paperwork say how the first semester will be? So that you guys know which days you'll be in school and such or is that info we'll find out at orientation? Thanks for sharing all that info with us.

They asked for $20 for malpractice and $16 for a badge and patches. I also had to pay $98 for a background check and I will also have to pay for a drug test, which I haven't done yet. I had to go get two untrimmed passport photo's for my badge as well. I just got them at walgreen's. I do wish you luck on getting in, I know I was exited! I was in the hospital for a week due to a massive operation and the whole time I was in there I kept asking my family to check my email. They thought I was nuts. They can't believe how "hard-headed" I am about becomming a nurse:D Hope this helps!

I will be kind-of easy to pick out. I have short blonde hair and a quarter sleeve tattoo on my left arm. I am pretty shy at first and sometimes tend to come-off stuck up (people say). :D I am not the type to come up and talk to people first.

Is there anyoe on here who has not gotten an answer at all? I guess it doesnt really matter now but Im starting to think they never got my app....

CPP883-

They said everyone would hear by the 30th. If you do not hear by tomorrow, I would call to see if they got your app.

CPP883- Did you ever hear from them?

Does anyone know if the sutter extended campus will be accepting students for Spring 2011?

They probably won't know until right before the start because it depends on if they get the funding or not.

That's why this last admissions process was so short and only open to prior applicants.

I am not sure. I haven't heard any of our instructors say anything about it. They probably wont know until the state passes the budget? You should start studying now and go on a vacation. :) It is a very hard program and when you get in your life (outside of school) stops and it is all about school and your clinicals. Good luck to you!
