Anyone else addicted?

Ok y'all, I have a confession to make...I AM ADDICTED TO ALLNURSES.COM!!!

I want each any everyone of you to know that I appreciate your views, opinions, questions and concerns that you post on this board. I have learned so much from you all. Thank you for your insights into the nursing profession. You all truely are angels on earth!

I'm a 45 y/o chemist who's been unhappy with my job for years. I worked in Pathology right after college but left for more $$ in cosmetics. I decided a year ago to embark on a career change into nursing...no thanks to allnurses.com. I will hopefully enter UMass as a first sem Jr in the Fall of 03, get my BSN, get into a good critical care unit for a couple of years and hopefully get into anesthesia school.

This @#$! website is one of the main reasons for my career change. You've all inspired me through your triumphs and tragedies, tears and laughs and heart wrenching accounts of interactions with your patients. I know this sounds wierd...but I envy you all, and I want very badly to experience what you all are experiencing...the good and the bad.

Thanks for sharing your lives with me.....yer all awsome.

Finally torn between what I SHOULD do and what I wanna do...guilt overcomes me. Reluctantly, I sign off and as I enter the bedroom, I hear snoring :)

Who's addicted??!! It's almost 01:00 here in Australia & here I am! LOL. This website makes you proud to be a nurse. Wish we could all meet one day & have a wizz bang party!! NOW, THAT would be SOME party!! :-)When it comes down to choices, sitting here with a "cuppa" & having a good laugh or, in some cases, cry, or doing some other, less fun, thing. Allnurses.com wins ALL the time!! :-)

If I die tomorrow, the housework will get done by someone, right? But they probably won't read Allnurses for me!! LOL
