is there anyone currently applying for US RN under EB3?

Published

Hi,

Recently, I found an agency in US, they are willing to sponser me under EB3, is there anyone having the same experience? they told me the current waiting time is 12 to 24 months, is that true?

Specializes in Acute Care. ER. Aged Care/LTC. Psyche.

Not true.

The waiting time is approximately 6 years. Check this: Check Priority Date

And given the employment situation in the US, I would doubt the availability of jobs for foreign nurses.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Depends where you was born. Looking at anything from 3-11 years

Hi Mickey,

Where are you from? And which agency is gonna sponser you?

To mickey613, did this US agency require you to pay up-front fees to get you to sign a contract with them or there was no fees to sign?

If you had to give them a dollar or more, you should avoid them at all cost. Agencies promise you the moon and the stars with false processing times, quicker service to get things done, there's so much hidden junk in their agenda to get you to sign a binding contract but that's just to keep you to keep paying them monies as time goes along.

A real employment agency will not want your money up front, as it's the employer that pays the agency. Be careful of the contract you sign as many times, if you decide to "break" the contract, they can sue you in court for the breach of such and they will win against you. You could probably break the contract but you better have a nice savings account to pay them to avoid going in front of a judge.

Before anyone signs a contract, they should always have the contract reviewed by an employment attorney or lawyer, this will save you so much money and major headaches should the contract not live up to its promises.

Which is cheaper to pay a few hundred dollars for a good review today or several thousands of dollars (due to losing a lawsuit) because it was too expensive at the time of contract signing only to find out you have been wasting your time and money with a bad agency after losing your court case?

Then, they start to make you believe it's going to really "happen", only to give you more excuses on why the hiring hospital can't do so for right now, but please to keep the contract going you must pay another $$$ or lose the contract.

My friend, guess what? There was never ever a true contract with any hospital, just a way for these agencies to keep getting monies from you so that they buy expensive homes and cars and maintain their high standard of living.

Have you asked them for very recent successful customers that got hired? Able to talk to them at their place of work so that if you called them the phone number can be traced directly to a hospital and can actually go there to see in person or can simply Google the location? There are ways to see if that real customer of theirs is employed by a known hospital or medical facility.

I mean, 1-2 years versus 6 plus years? If it's too good to be true, guess what? Even the president of the USA, doesn't have that power to move up the waiting time.

Disclaimer: yes, I work in the legal field, but I'm not a lawyer or an attorney, I see these cases almost once a week and these agencies are well funded by others who are so desperate to get a job and these agencies they can afford some good legal representation and thus, have their contracts written so well, that the people looking for sponsors don't stand a chance in the eyes of the law, when they decide to simply not pay them any more for any reasons.

Specializes in labor and delivery.
