I attened a school that broke the full time 15 month program up into 5 mods (13 weeks a piece). We lost quite a few of our classmates in the first mod and right through all 5 mods we lost students for a variety of reasons. Some just weren't making the grades needed to stay in the program, some took the attendance policy as a joke and failed out due to too many hours missed, some failed out due to clinical skills (or lack there of).
Sadly, I lost many classmates by tenths of a point! We needed to maintain a 78 average. There was no rounding up or down. I had a very close classmate who had a 77.9 average..she failed out and had to repeat the mod. (I kept telling her although the homework assignements might seem useless and appeared to be busy work, it did add a total of 5 points to your final grade. Had she done her homework and handed it in, she WOULD have passed the class with higher than the 78 needed
Not to scare you but yes, its very common to see classmates fail out..no matter if its the beginning of schooling, the middle or the end. We were told on the very first day of class to look to our left and to our right, they said that by the end of the program one of those two would be gone. And the very next day, the lady to my left was gone, two months later two people to my right were gone...we went from 60 t0 a graduating class of 28.
Try not to psych yourself out. Do your best, study hard, and plod on, you can do this! And should you not make the grade and fail out, get yourself together and get back when you can and go back and try again!

this part is VERY TRUE because EVERYONE feels like the homework assignments are busy work. the thing is that people forget that it is still part of your grade. you can't just tell yourself that you will do well on the exams because you will never know. it is better to be safe than sorry and do your homework because it will make a difference in the end when you are in need of the points due to you not doing so well on one of your exams.
TRUST ME.
it happens to the best of us, and it happened to me! i had to remediate a subject, but now i've learned my lesson.

In my class you must have maintain a 78% in TEST SCORES. If you have a 77.9 they won't even count your homework or projects. I have seen at least 4 fellow students fail out, with a 77.9 test average. That had their homework had been added they would have past the class....
So far we have had 1 student fail out this semester, but he was having marital issues, and I really think he just gave up...
The instructors say that most people fail out at this point due to the hours missed. I know we already have several on time probation.....
