I thought I would start another thread about Yale GEPN. Would like to hear from anyone and everyone thats applying to the program for the fall of 2008? Its obvious that all of those that applied for the fall of this year have gotten their acceptance letters and congrats to them all, hopefully I will meet them all next year. In the meantime, I would like to hear from those going for the fall of 08. What were your major/degree in undergrad? Where are u now in the application process?

Hope to hear from all...

I am waiting on a decision from Yale also, and if I get in I will be going there. Otherwise it'll be between Columbia and UIC. I think my quality of life would be much better in New Haven than it would be in NYC, as well as cheaper. NYC will be fun to live in when I am actually making money...

that being said, I haven't ruled out Columbia! It would be somewhat of an "adventure" to plop myself in the middle of a ridiculously huge city!

I agree with you, Craig.

Didn't you say at one point that your girlfriend is going to Columbia?

I can tell you guys - if I had Columbia in my back pocket, I'd be pretty happy! But I agree, quality in life would probably be better for us starving students if we end up in New Haven. NYC is such a fantastic city, but sooo expensive. As I live in San Francisco now, I'm used to crazy expensive, but it'd be nice to tone it down while in school.

Kens,

You did apply to UCSF, didn't you? I love San Francisco! :D I've lived for a short while in NYC before but I would personally enjoy living in SF better lol. I'm in Syracuse, NY right now and the -18 degrees weather + 39mph wind last night has made me thinking of moving asap lol!

On the flip side, I'm constantly clicking on "Send/Receive e-mail" button on my mail client, every minute. Lol. It's sooo frustrating!

No, I didn't apply to UCSF (long story!), although I'm pretty darn sure I wouldn't have had a chance in hell anyway. But yeah, I love SF, and I really don't want to move!!

Kev,

My girlfriend is applying to Columbia and NYU-Steinhardt for Occ. Therapy...so we'll see if she is accepted there. That'll have an effect on my decision, but she expects me to go to Yale if I get in...she said I'd be an idiot not to. She's right!

Kens, you are right...I am very happy that I have Columbia in my back pocket. I hope I didn't come off as cocky or ungrateful of that...I'm pretty humbled to have been accepted there!

Oh no, no - you totally didn't! I'm just a mess over here, lol. I so badly want to get into Yale, but would love to know that I'm at least going somewhere. How terrible and somewhat humiliating will it be if I don't get accepted anywhere??? AH!

Don't worry...you will get in! You can't think negatively, it will do you no good. I got rejected from BC and was pretty down on myself for a couple of days but it only made things worse for me. Just keep thinking positive thoughts!

Thanks, you are so right!! :)

Thanks, you are so right!! :)

Don't mean to derail the Yale thread, but Kensington you are sooo going to get into multiple programs and then you'll have to make the tough decision! If I can be optimistic after being rejected from JHU and still waiting for my request for reconsideration, you need to believe that you are going to rock your interviews.

Just hang in there! :p

Thanks, Asherah! You are so sweet to say that. I'll calm down over here, and remain hopeful. :)

Ahhh ... no email yesterday. :uhoh21:

I know! I wish they didn't have to wait for financial aid processing to let us know, otherwise we would probably know already!!
