Anyone applying to University of Memphis Loewenberg for Fall of 2011?

Good luck! I'm taking it on Jan 11th. Are you nervous at all about applying? I am beyond nervous. I just don't know if my GPA is competitive enough.

I'm not really nervous GPA wise (if you have at least a 3.0, I think you're fine) but I am sorta about the TEAS - I still haven't started to study for it =P I guess I did too much partying this past new year's weekend. But hey, from what I hear, there won't be much time for a social life in nursing school xD

Yeah I am nervous about the TEAS also. I took it a year ago right after I decided to begin the pre-reqs for nursing. I didn't study at all and made a 70%--2 percentage points away from the 72% I needed. However, I have been studying the ATI study guide and think I will at least come up those two points. I'm sure you will do fine. I just hadn't seen any of the test material since 8th or 9th grade (literally a decade ago). Good luck and let me know how you do!!

thanks. yeah I hadn't seen the stuff in like 8-10 years either until looking at the ATI book. I studied that for a few hours(I didn't even really look at reading/english) and looked up rocks/tenonics plates stuff. the science part is a killer but I still made a 84 on that part somehow. make sure to know chemistry stuff (atomic weight, protons, etc). Know how to convert from C to F, pounds to kg, etc.

I made a 94, which was was in the 99th percentile.

I passed. It seemed a lot easier this time around but the science was still brutal. Anyway, I will be turning in my application and my scores when I am on campus for class on Thursday. As far as you know, is that all we are supposed to turn in when we apply? Have you applied yet?

Hi! I'm also applying for Loewenberg nursing school. I'm a transfer from SWCC, I finished my all my pre-reqs, GPA 3.6, and got 82 on TEAS. BUT now I'm crazy about this one course (General Psychology) which was evaluated as UD01 instead of a regular course number. Is this still credited for Loewenberg? I don't want to repeat this class again. Anybody knows about this?

Hi, JMarian. I know that we definitely still need the course but I really don't know whether a UD01 will be accepted as a credit for the course at U. Memphis. I would call the transfer office. They should be able to help! Good luck on your application!

I applied as well. I've got a 3.4 (4.0 in pre-req sciences) and an 87 on the TEAS. I'm fairly confident, but still nervous!!
