Hey just wondering if anyone is applying to UAB's MSN program. I'm applying to their FNP program, but still unsure as to whether or not i'm making the right decision about school choice. I'm specifically wondering about the time commitment. I work full-time and am wondering if I would still be able to keep my full-time job and do the distance learning format full-time as well. Also, cost is a major issue to me as my husband is racking up a gizzion dollars in dental school loans. Any info would be awesome.
Got home from my trip yesterday....No letter yet....I am starting to think I need to proceed with the University that has already accepted me. I am in advanced patho at UAB right now as a non-degree seeking student and am having issues with communication from instructors and technical issues.
Regardless - I would still like the letter in hand! It seems quite ridiculous that any University would wait this long!

I have that same teacher I'm pretty sure right now for another class nondegree... I've heard she is really good in the fall/spring, but lazy in the summer. Plenty of papers, midterm, etc., still no grades yet and no response.
Its past ridiculous I was accepted to usa ages ago I think imma just go with that because at least theyve shown how on piint they are uab what school hasnt sent letters this late it gives u kno time to get things turned in paperwork wise before the deadline to register for classes roll around
I emailed [email protected] and stated I wanted to confirm the acc. Package was received. I got a response in less than 2 hours.
Im so glad I applied to usa because uab is really not being professsional being this late with everything
Based on people that I work with that were accepted the last two summers, they all found out the second week in July. But yes, it is ridiculously late. They all mentioned that they were satisfied with the program during the fall/spring but in the summer the instructors were impossible to reach in the summer and nothing gets done. If they're going to teach classes in the summer they need to get on the ball and unless they would have notified us back in May they should have come back from vacation by now and sent out our letters.
