Anyone applying to Texas Tech's program, specifically the 2nd degree Austin program? What is your work experience? What prereqs have you taken/still need? Volunteering? GPA? Heard anything interesting lately about the program? Let's get to chatting!
This just in: Some applicants still being processed, I'm told. Mine is among those--and I was also accepted!
(Am trying to remain composed and professional, but insert about 10 more exclamation points to the end of that last sentence...:))
Looking forward to meeting you all at Boot Camp!
The students at the interviews last week mentioned, by the way, that they had a private FB page for their class only that has been extremely helpful. Perhaps a bit premature, but something to consider in taking this chat to a more appropriate online forum. I'm sure we'll have time to discuss when we meet in Jan.
@Texnurse96- I thought I was crazy! I was looking for a PM, but couldn't find one!
ALL- I have created a FB group titled 'Texas Tech Health Science Center Accelerated BSN 2013-2014 (Austin Cohort)'. I did not attach a link to this post because it is against allnurses.com policy, so please search for it instead! Add yourselves so we can starting banding together. :)
I'm so confused! I got an email saying my application is in review for the Dallas site and I would know by next week. I interviewed in Austin and told them I would definitely be interested in Dallas since I live there but wanted to be considered for both. Does this mean I wasn't accepted to Austin? Or just had my application sent to Dallas? I'm worried that I would have been accepte to Austin if I hadn't said anything... What if I don't get into Dallas, they only accept 10!!! Will they accept me in Austin then??? So many unanswered questions!!!
please leave word if you hear anything from the school about the dallas cohort. i am for sure nervous about this since there is only 10 people in this cohort.

@jennytmuw I'm sorry you didn't get Austin. I remember you were previously accepted to El Paso. I know you preferred Austin but I hope El Paso still works out!!
