Anyone Applying to Samuel Merritt ABSN April, May, June 2009?

wow, i'm glad to know i'm not the only one STILL waiting anxiously for that big white envelope in the mail. do you guys mind letting me know what were your 1st and 2nd choices were? mine was oakland then san mateo. good luck to everyone!

I got accepted to San Mateo. I haven't heard anyone receiving letters from Oakland yet? Only SM and SF so far?

I just got my small white envelope in the mail which means I'm waitlisted for summer 2009: 12 of 52. I'll need to reclassify and will be considered with the Fall applicants. Good luck everyone! What does 12 of 52 mean??? They say "it shifts a bit" as they finalize the process. I feel so close yet so far away. :zzzzz

All I got was a phone bill today! I have never been so terrified of my mailbox.

Anyway, I applied 1. SF, 2. Oakland, 3. San Mateo.

On the bright side for everyone still waiting, we get to speed up an hour closer to Monday's mail delivery with daylight savings time tonight!

Any theories on how far they went down the waitlist last year?

When I opened my mailbox, I didn't see a big envelope, but only a small one from Samuel Merritt. My gut told me right away, it wasn't what I was hoping for. I've been put on the waitlist. It says I'll be considered for a spot at any of the campuses. Not the news I was praying for. Best of luck to everyone.

I received the small white envelope and was told I was number 6 on the waiting list. Does anyone know how many people from the waitlist get in? Also, if they tell you it is for a spot that is not your first choice and you decline are you still on the same spot on the waiting list. The uncertainty is driving me crazy, as I am sure it is others! Any infor on the waitlist process would be appreciated.

sstarr003, i think someone else already mentioned this but the start date for the SF cohort is on april 30th.. orientation is april 17th.. i got the acceptance letter the beginning of february (1 month ago) and had until february 20th to turn in my letter of intent along with the tuition deposit.. i received an e-mail that same day (02/20) letting me know about the orientation and program start date.. i looked at the e-mail addresses it was sent out to and counted 27 total, including me.. there are supposedly 48 spots in the program so i'm sure they will be sending out more acceptance letters soon..

congrats to those that got accepted and for those on the waitlist, don't lose hope! i'm sure there are plenty of people that don't end up accepting the offer and give up their spot..

I am also waiting on another school. I applied to 5.. I think most people applied to at least two.. so if you look at it that way I am sure a lot of spots will open up on the waiting list.. I am anxiously waiting on another school. This whole process is so nerve racking.. but keep the faith.. My classmate got into a local school and she was number 11 on the waitlist and they called her early. They said that so many people had accepted at other schools... and the fact that they put that many on the waitlist I think shows the real possibility...

I got a hold of Lizzie Mayo on Friday and she said that the rest of the decision letters are being mailed Monday.
