Anyone Applying to Samuel Merritt ABSN April, May, June 2009?

Is anyone else applying to ABSN at Merritt for Spring 2009. Let's post our experience the next 6 months here. I'm just getting started on my application due nov 1. Good luck. :up:

I haven't received anything in the mail yet either. I'm going nuts! I have emailed and called Lizzie to see what the deal is, but shockingly no response yet!

Hi All

I'm still waiting too! A friend of mine who got an acceptance letter for San Mateo said the letter was dated for Monday and she recived it on Tuesday. She lives in the peninsula, so that letter got there pretty fast.

I'm hoping and praying I get in. Good luck to us all... and If anyone (unfortunatly) gets a rejection or waitlist letter, please let us know!

One of my friends just got a rejection letter, but I'm pretty sure she applied for San Francisco, since she lives there. The San Francisco cohort, if you haven't been reading this thread, got their letters early February and had to respond by late February.

For the regular BSN program, I got my waitlist letter 2 weeks after my friend got his acceptance letter... I was number 6 on the regular BSN waitlist. I'm guessing if we get waitlist letters, it would be around the same time frame. I ended up not getting into the program.

I'm just as anxious as the rest of you. I keep on waiting for the mail carrier. Unfortunately, nothing has come from Samuel Merritt. I tried calling them yesterday and emailing, but haven't heard back. I'm disappointed that they would not have sent all of the letters out at the same time. I'd like to know one way or another if I was accepted. Best of luck to all of you. Let's keep in touch.

I have been reading the posts and anxiously awaiting some response also, but still an empty mailbox! sad.png I have actually tried calling and left messages and an email, but still haven't heard back. It makes me think it is probably not the acceptance I was hoping for.

I can't believe I didn't know about this forum sooner!

I also applied to the SF campus, but I have not received a decision letter yet. gdmartinez0903 you got yours 2 months ago? When did you turn in your app? Would that have to do with you getting an acceptance so early? I'm so anxious as are the rest of you who are still waiting! I'll be sure to post something as soon as I know anything.

I also emailed Elizabeth Mayo and called admissions today. For those of us applying to the SF campus its getting down to the wire! Start date is April 1st. I need to start planning, especially financially!!

Iwant2beRN are you absolutely sure about the SF cohort?? I applied for that cohort (start date April 1st) and haven't received any decision letter as of today! I keep getting email updates from Elizabeth Mayo who said the letters are coming out this week! I've been anxiously anxiously ANXIOUSLY waiting for some news. If what you are saying is true I'll be really upset!!

According to the SMU website, the start date for the SF campus is April 30, not April 1st.

Let's not all give up hope yet. Tomorrow's still the first week of March! And we don't know that the entire SF cohort was admitted the first week of February. Some were, but for all we know that was just a sample group so admissions could gauge how many people were likely to accept offers of admission.

Did anyone get information out of their phone calls and emails to Lizzie?

Thank you for the update! I've been reading over previous posts and it makes more sense now. Admissions must be accepting SF cohort students early to see how many people return deposits and letters of intent. That gives me much more hope! Like you said a "sample group" is being selected first so that they can gauge the number of seats left. I'll also keep my fingers, toes and everything else crossed!

wow, i'm glad to know i'm not the only one STILL waiting anxiously for that big white envelope in the mail. do you guys mind letting me know what were your 1st and 2nd choices were? mine was oakland then san mateo. good luck to everyone!

I am sure that many people applied to many schools. Many will pull out. Don't be discouraged!!
