Hi!

I am trying to start a thread for people applying to the Lansing Community College Nursing Program Spring 2010!

Any and all posters welcome!

Hi,

Just wanted to say a couple things... First its my understanding from taking to an advisor that 81 was the cut off that everyone who had this many point or more was accepted and only SOME of those with 80 got accepted. The problem right now is that there are only 91 points available.

So guess what? LCC is changing its admission requirements for both the 2011 and 2012 years and they HAVE NOT posted what will be included in those changes. From talking to an advisor I found out that the total point system will be new in 2012. She wasnt sure what changes were instore for 2011 but said that they may add 1 or 2 classes. I am planning on applying, but I have no idea if I will be able to get in or not. I am retaking a class fall semester to try to get new points, but since they may have new requirements I have no idea if I will be able to get in or not. Just wondered if you all were aware of these changes?

I just started LCC's traditional program this January. Feel free to ask me any questions that you might have!:)

Hiya!

Congrats on getting accepted into the program! How do you like the program so far? What hours do you have to go to school? Is community service required and if so how many hours? Do you have any say in your schedule? What does PA stand for? Do you have any time off? How much did your uniforms cost? Do you really need all 20 something books that are listed on Gibsons site that first semester? Anything else you can tell us that you wish u had known before you started the program?

Thanks!

How is the NURS150 class going? I start in January and I'm getting slightly nervous about the workload, but hey, I knew that going into this!

Do your really need to get all the textbooks that are listed on the LCC website? If so, that's a lot!

Thanks for any info you can give me, I really appreciate it!!

Hi guys, I'm applying to LCC's traditional 2 year program this March, and I have 83 points currently. Anyone think I have a good shot at getting accepted with 83 points? I think I read that the cutoff two years ago was 77 or 78, and last year's cutoff was 80-81. So it's going to be really close, man I hope I get accepted. Good luck to everyone who's applying this year.
