Anyone applying to the Duke ABSN program for Fall 2009 (c/o 2011)?

I submitted my completed application on November 23rd and I'm anxiously waiting. I attended the open house in September and fell in love with the program. I just thought I would check in here and see if anyone else is in the same boat. It would be interesting to have someone to commiserate with during this awful waiting game :) :typing

ahhhhhhhhh, I'm so excited, I started crying on the phone with my dad! I've been trying for this for 2 years... taking pre-req's as full time student, working, volunteering... I am so excited I can hardly breathe! I had to share with you all...

Yes we got it by email. I will try calling them to see why they didn't accept me. I'm sooo sad and upset. I had many illusions with Duke.

I received my email around 9am at work and was sooo nervous to open it.... Had to wait for lunch time and drive home to open up the letter.

I's so excited and congratulations on everyone else who got in:D

Congrats Karen and Claudia! Is anyone else planning on going? I saw on the letter that you have to respond in 3 weeks... I don't hear back from other schools for another month or so! but its in my top 2 so I might send in the deposit anyways, my mom said she would help me pay b/c "we've spent $500 on worse and there is a 90% chance you'll go there" which is great and supportive of her... I cried when I found out... she did too! ha

Den, what do you mean you had many illusions? Like they led you on? I'm sorry you didn't get in :( I still haven't heard anything, I am going nuts. Congrats to everyone who did!

I wouldn't worry that you haven't heard anything. I emailed Melissa Zieberna a few days after my interview and she said

"We will have all final decisions out by late February-early March timeframe. We do make some decisions along the way, so you could potentially hear sooner than that timeframe.

We send all decisions electronically"

I wouldn't worry quite yet.

Also, Den, I'd like to also know what you meant by you had illusions if you don't mind sharing...
