If you don't mind me asking, what was your average cumalitve gpa, and net score?

I'm so happy people that the people who used this thread and applied to smc have made it to the interview process.

I also got contacted yesterday via email regarding the interview. I am trying to schedule for the interview next week, but the lady hasn't emailed or called me back yet. Anyway when is everyone going for their SMC interviews???

And BerkMom- CONGRATS!! That is wonderful news. Maybe we will meet through this process. And as far as UCSF, it is really hard to say. They are both great programs...but UCSF is cheaper!

And Star19- I haven't heard back from the lady either! So I dont know when my interview is.

I applied to UCSF this fall (wasn't granted an interview..) and before I applied I called admissions to ask if I should really put a first and second choice on my application...I was also confused about how that worked. The woman I spoke with said that direct entry applicants shouldn't bother putting a second choice, and she said something like "trust me, we only look at your first choice." So it seems like the opportunity to indicate your second choice might just be for traditional master's applicants...even though the application doesn't say so.

hi! i recently applied to SMC and NYU for accelerated BSN programs b/c i really want to go to ucsf for my N.P. so i've decided to get the RN first. you can do that too if you've got your heart set on ucsf. i've got a bachelors degree in cell biology from uc berkeley, and though i've got a good gpa and everything i was told that my chances were slim. it's very very difficult to get into that school. so i was told that if i were to get an RN first that my chances would be much better, i might actually get in. experience in the health care field is highly valued by ucsf. i'd also be supprised if i got into merritt b/c i've been told they are extremely selective too. so i may have to go out of state, which sucks. anyway, i just thought you might consider that option of RN first, then ucsf,

I got my letter today, I'm in! I'm so excited! The envelope was post-dated 02/28/07 and the letter was March 1st. I live in Sacramento, so that gives you an idea of travel time. Hooray! I'm hoping that you are all the same. If not, I'm very sorry and think they need to expand their class. - Chicken LL
