Anyone applying to Delaware County Community College 2013 RN program? Dying to know if my TEAS V score was enough to get me in!!!! I will not find out till closer to Christmas maybe after Christmas!! Any other Applicants want to compare scores and wait together? Also if anyone is DCCC alumni could you let me know your TEAS score and if you were accepted, also if you remember when you received your acceptance letter?

I do want to mention that I had taken my TEAS test once on 9-12-12, and then took the test again 10-24-12(2days before the application deadline) just to see if I could improve my score which I did improve all of my subcategory scores improved some by 50% or more! I wish the Administration looked at that. The first time I took the test my Adjusted Individual Composite Score was 58%.(Which DCCC only requires a AIS Composite of 50%) When I took the test last Wednesday I received a 71.3%!! I really hope that this score is enough to get me in to the program. Considering that this is the only criteria they take into account. First the AIS Composit score then Reading, Science, Mathematics, then English & Language.

My school was accredited I took the challenge exam for Nurs 102. It wasn't mandatory but I figured I would try and test out to see if I can credit for it and if not I would take the course. I'm still waiting for my results. Did you take the TEAS exam as of yet?[/quote']

I took the teas test and scored about a 64%. I applied for standard admission and placed # 2 on the wait list but now I'm rethinking my decision to apply for advance placement.

Hello Bijoutlpn, The dead line for 2013 was late October 2012. There is a year waitlist for petitioners.

Plan now for 2014 by submitting your application in August 2013. Good luck!

Hey, the deadline for LPN to RN is April 1st 2013.

shai2012 do you know the average of any other LPNs TEAs scores?

I was told that the average scores were low 60's, 70's & some 80's. anyone scoring below 60 would not be a candidate. I will test out of Math for Nurses this month. Was the study guide helpful at all? How similar was the actual test to the study guide? Tnx

7 weeks and we LPN's find out if we got in or not! I'm going crazy. Did the assessment center say how many LPNs were getting a seat? How long will we be in the program?

If we get a seat we will finish in 1 year. May 2013-May2014

I finished all my prereqs for the program and a guidance counsler at school told me if I graduate the program it's not going to give me an associates degree?

I was offered a seat in NURS 218

Has anyone checked out the petitioning changes for 2014? Some include GPA and TEAS requirements. Thought it was interesting and pleased that its behind me... Looking ahead to this September and Nursing 110! :0)

New requirements for the TEAS no longer look at the Individual Score. It looks at the individual score for each section.

Hey, I'm an Lpn and I got accepted to the LPN -RN program at DCCC.. The transition course starts 5/28. It's 6 weeks... I have two semesters of nursing to do starting this fall... Ill grad 5/14. I took the teas and scored 72% 68 in science and 89 in reading. The requirements have changed for admission 9/14. They no longer consider your overall score. And a 70% is required in reading. All of the requirements have went up.... I did not find the teas impossible.. I also didn't study too hard. I just brushed up on YouTube. If anyone can give me a heads up on what I'm about to get into that will b great.... I'm currently taking microbiology and pharmacology... Micro is for bsn and pharm is a co req for dccc program.
