I will be applying to Bunker Hill for this coming fall. Anyone else? I'm excited as I hear this fall is when the new allied health addition will be completed. I also heard that BHCC will be opening up an online nursing program (with in-person labs and clinical) for Jan. 2010.

I'm starting the day program for Spring '09 at BHCC. Orientation is Friday. I didn't realize that addition would be done that soon, that's pretty cool. Good luck with your application! Make sure you keep photocopies of everything you send them in case something gets misplaced.

I'm a BHCC Alumnus (2008). The clinicals run the gamut, but the instructors are great.

That was fast. The just broke ground in June.

I'm currently taking pre-reqs at BHCC and I'm appling for Fall 09. Do all nursing students get the choice to take classes on line or is it limited? This would be a great option!! I'm also applying to the Lawrence Memorial/Regis program. Best of luck to everyone!

Hi Everyone - I realize this is a nursing forum, but I have yet to find any forums for medical imaging that are as helpful as this forum when it comes to sharing information about applications and schools. So I thought I would ask a couple questions and see if anyone might have experience in medical imaging and could help.
I live in the Boston area and recently applied to a number of medical imaging programs in the Boston area for Fall '09, with Bunker HIll Community College being my first choice. The question I had was if anyone else has applied to Bunker Hill to their medical imaging programs and if anyone has heard back? Also, is there anyone out there that is currently enrolled in one of their programs and could give me an idea as to what they look for? I have strong grades (all A's) on my pre-reqs and a good score on my accuplacer. I was told that is what they look at the most, but I was wondering if they consider other things? I don't have healthcare experience so I'm worried that will hurt me and I wasn't able to take my classes at BHCC because the class times didn't work for my work schedule. I really want to go here and ideally would like to go to their cardiac sonography program, but I just feel like I have no chance because its so competitive . I went to a really good undergrad school, did a lot of shadowing and have a strong letter of recommendation, but aside from that its out of my hands. Anyway, just wondering if anyone can shed some light on the application process, when i might hear, who gets in etc.
Thanks!

Hello everyone,
I just signed up, not sure how to post yet. I am applying to BHCC fall 09, however I have hit a hurlde. I took the TEAS, and there was construction on the other side of the wall and it RUINED my concentration. I got an 80% total, but the worst of the noise was during my reading comprehension segment, which is my best subject! I only scored an 85% in it, 67% math, and 80% science. I am so upset. Even with earplugs it was horrible! With an 80% do i even have a shot? My prereqs are very good, all A's except for Chemistry. Please advise? Should I request a retest? There was no way I could concentrate!
oh yes , that is good and you can get in. I know of people that got into the program with a 70% percentile this past spring.
I take my teas next month. Can you give me some advice . What did you focus on and How long before the exam did you start studying? Any advice would be helpful
This is the sencond school I applied to , I hope to get into at least one.
Hi, thanks for the vote of confidence! One thing I found a little hard to remember: geology! Look over plate tectonics and rock formations, just a little bit. Also the math section seems to go by too fast, so pace yourself. I studied in advance but not enough. Read the manual, it is helpful. I would start a month in advance.
