anyone apply for sccc fall 2011 nursing program?

I have a 4.0 GPA in the 4 pre req classes and micro was NOT completed when I applied. Still haven't heard about Ammerman day program

Had micro tonite. Girl in class was denied...with a 3.9. Totally convinced it is more than just the four core classes. Otherwise how do u explain people with lower averages being accepted or waitlisted?

Had Micro tonight too. 6 acceptance letters for Grant days. 1 person not able to accept it. I'm still waiting for Ammerman days.

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense to me either but I can't see why they would accept some and not others. we may never know what the truth of the matter is all I know for sure is I'm hoping and praying for my letter and that it's good news. Good night

Lpn.... I think they call u. But it can't hurt to call every couple of weeks to find out. What was your gpa and what campus and night or days?

To all of you who are waiting or waitlisted, I've been following the thread even though it no longer applies to me. I feel so bad for you all. I was in the same position last semester waiting to find out if I would get into the Spring 2011 class. The waiting was unbearable, and then I was waitlisted. I was heartbroken and angry. I had and still have a 4.0 gpa, and I read stories of people getting in with much lower grades. I decided at that time that I had to apply to Farmingdale also because there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how they choose who gets in and who does not. I did get accepted to Suffolk for the Fall, but I'm going to Farmingdale in the end. Hang in there guys, and don't let a waitlist decision or denial make you second guess your goals. I promise, there are better days ahead. Good luck :)

I to was waitlisted and had my own pity party yesterday and today is the day I improve the GPA and get in for the next application ( just incase this one doesnt happen) I realized I had a clep for PSY but I called yesterday and they didnt show they sent to Suffolk only Framingdale - now that is a problem I had a C+ in that, some 10 yrs ago - so I wonder if I take PSY 210 if they can use that in place of PSY101 and improve my GPA - I called but no one could talk to me - I'm going to make an appointment today..

Shoe hat... You were waitlisted with a C plus in psych? Did I misunderstand what you said? If you were, that is still great for you to be wait listed instead of rejected. Some people in class have said that a lot of waitlisted people get called, sometimes all the way up to right before the semester starts! I will pray for you and me and everyone else!

Could this be the day!? I hope to put an end to this agony already, either way.

I can wait anymore I'm going to ammermen today maybe they'll tell me if got in or not this letter is taking 2 long it's messing with my mental state and stomach. No one should be put through this.
