You have to check Suffolks website but I think the Spring Apps are due by June 1st - so I am waiting to see if my letter comes this week, and if I have to re-apply AGAIN, I will... Fingers crossed for All - I hate this! lol

Wonder how decided to send them? Alphabetically, or by GPA - who knows

I am actually already retaking a class...almost done this semester, so that I can reapply if needed for spring. I chose to retake English to bring up from a B to an A. This would give me a 3.7 with micro done for spring application. If that isn't good enough, the only other thing I can retake is AP2 from a B to an A, which would be a third application/attempt.

They really should send all the letters over a few days so that some of us don't have to wait soooooo long! It definitely doesn't go alphabetically because someone I know has a last name that starts with a G, and got her letter. I start with a C and another friend starts with an F. No rhyme or reason here.

One more point to make...there is another thread on this site where someone posted yesterday sayingbthey got in without micro and had a 3.6..... The wait is killing me! :uhoh3:

well im guessing your GPA doesnt tell the whole story. they say they only base admissions on the four classes and micro is a tie breaker but i dont think so

no i dont but i took alot of pre-reqs for the BSN program like biomedical ethics, calculus, dev. psych hnrs, human eco hnrs, health concepts, etc. and i am currently taking the Emergency Medical Care 1 course, which will certify me as an EMT once i pass the state exam later this month I am also a member of the honour society - Phi Theta Kappa, a student ambassador and took Honors freshman comp and Honors psychology and alot of other honours classes. Last summer i was at Stony Brook University doing pancreatic cancer research and my abstract was published and was on display at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference.

I think what helped me the most was the HSC 126 course its a 7 credit class and i think it just looks good on the transcript. and the research at SBU. i know someone else who had less than a 4.0 that got in to both Suffolk and SBU. he also took this class and was doing research during the summer. he was actually the one who advised me to take HSC 126. I wish i had applied to SBU as well but I am happy that i got into ammerman day! :nurse: :yeah:

Congratulations!! Did you get your letter today, monday? I'm waiting to hear from Ammerman day as well, but already checked the mail and didn't get my letter for the program. I did receive a letter from financial aid at Suffolk though.
