Ms. Gianna's the HR for SLMC -GC. She's the one deciding if you'd be qualified for the position. Good luck on your interview! Hopefully we'll both pass it. I'm also for initial interview (thank God) this December.

:nuke:

hi there.. i'm scheduled to take the initial exam on december3.. is it hard? can anyone give me any hints on what it may seem like? thanks..

Good day to all! I am scheduled for an initial screening this December? I just want to ask something. What will happen in the Initial Screening? Is there an IQ exam or a Nursing Proficiency exam? Will there be an interview? What are the things and documents that I should bring? How corporate is the corporate attire for men? Thanks in advance to those who will reply. :p

Corporate attire means wearing a suit and tie.

Not sure why you are already going for an interview if you do not have a license in hand. They are going to be unable to do anything or offer anything without that being in your possession.

yup, there's a height requirement and you must not be over weight nor under weight, if so, you must loose or gain the said weight (for real) then after 2 weeks if they like you or you passed their assessment they'll call you for the technical interview. they hate follow ups.

actually, they haven't hired any yet, they said you'll have your training in SLMC-QC for 3 mos and they'll call you, if you have a good evaluation based on your performance. then you'll be the pioneer employees for slmc-gc (take note your a full time employee) which will be opening October next year.

for those who doesn't receive a call after two weeks your papers will be filed for future reference.

you'll be interviewed by 3's its like an open forum.

do you guys think if i submit my information this week, they would still entertain me???

i'm for technical interview already but ma'am gianna can't still give us the exact date of our schedule. we've been texting her once in a while but we still get the same reply, that they will schedule us in due time. when's that time? i think we've been waiting for 2 months already.. but it's ok, i believe that God will give it at the right time. i'm just waiting patiently. :nurse:

thnx kyckerz for the reply. you help boost my confidence.i passed the board last june 08, still havent shown my resume to any hosp/agency even for a training slot. Im having hesitations because of my low rating.ur my inspiration. hehe...

For those who are concerned regarding the initial exam, this is only a set of IQ test that will screen who's in or not. They've done this to screen out the increasing number of applicants. For those who are wondering what the exams were, our batch took some sort of "logical sequence" as a type of screening exam. Given 15 minutes, you have to answer less than 60 questions. This will determine how snappy and quick thinker you are (most helpful in emergency situations.. lol)

@ baldoRN: it really doesnt matter what scores you got in your NLE, for as long as you passed, there is nothing to be ashamed of. For those hospitals who are requiring high NLE averages, it's either, they want to get popular, or thought that this is a basis for a RN to be more competent, or just to screen out their applicants (because of the massive number of new RNs - just the June 08 NLE passers alone)

THE KEY TO SUCCESS IN YOUR APPLICATION IS TO BE PATIENT

You are very lucky that you actually have a job, I would most definitely stay with that. Going to Manila for a training position that will not count as work experience makes no sense to me at all.

Consider yourself quite fortunate that you are already working as an RN, most do not have jobs.

Keep what you have if you are asking for what to do, or let others know where you are from so they can apply for the job that you want to leave.
