does having MAN/MSN degree a faster way to land a US nursing job?
the experiences they have may be 3-5years in those fields so it is acknowledged as "experience" by the US hospitals. and I've read that "volunteer/training are not counted as "experience"...with the influx of RNs here in the Philippines, before being a volunteer or trainee, you must pass several exams and interviews. and that's after waiting for a long queue. expect more for staff position. that's why i thought of gaining MSN/MAN degree to a bit ahead of the competion.

Finger Pads Problem
Im applying for NJ license and the BON already sent me fingerprint cards last Nov 08. My problem is my finger pads (left thumb and right index) have deep cut-like lines that almost covers my finger prints. When I did my finger printing in my country, the lines dominated the prints and the ridges are almost invisible, so I did'nt pass it to NJ BON/Sagem Pro. It has been like this for almost a year now. I've tried different hand lotions but the lines are still deep. I know I have to accomplished my fingerprint card ASAP. pls share some help.

Philippine Nursing Grad who applied to NJ BON
would there be a problem if I filed my application first to NJ BON before completing CES? I filed my application to NJ BON Sept 2008 then I learned from a friend that I have to finish CES first. I mailed my application and payment to CES last wk of Oct and I believe my school and licensing ofc mailed my papers during those dates, too. I have yet to sit on toefl (i don't know when will i ever feel ready to take the exam.huhuhu)i'm planning to do so by 1st wk of March 2009. NJ BON sent me fingerprint card Oct/Nov 2008 but i had a prob with my finger pads (they cracked and like peeling, losing the ridges). so im not done with that, too. if there'll be prob, pls advise on what to do...

mattiya --- (i am not permitted to do PMs yet, sorry) NJ BON requires to fulfill CGFNS CES first before they give ATT. Passing the local boards is a requirement of CES.
