I see a bunch of jobs by places like providence and Swedish Medical Center but I've spent my summer applying to them along with many of the same positions that are STILL listed as open months later! Now all you see are temp flu shots positions. I need something full time! Does anyone know of a location that actually IS hiring and not just posting every other week just to do it? I do have A LOT of experience and I always call them back along with sending my resume.
I'm at the point now that when I go for online applications every other site I'm able to just use auto fill because I've already applied so many times. Any help please!!

My personal experience with Swedish, is that the application/interview process is very lengthy. So try to be patient, you may very well get a phone call from them any day! I no longer live or work in the area so my experiences from 2-3 years ago probably have changed a bit! Good luck in your search feel free to PM me if you want any details.

Not sure where you live, but Good Samaritan in Puyallup employs RN's. So does the Franciscan. The Saints as we call them.:chuckle

Are you willing to do long term care or assisted living? A friend got a part time job working at an assisted living facility by walking in with resume' in hand and filling out an application. They weren't advertising any open positions. She recently has been offered a full time postion.
Also you could check and see if the VA still has a hiring freeze on. If not, that would be another place to try.
Good luck!

How about working in a clinic? Lots of jobs there.

I would be leery of the VA hospital unless in desperate need of a job. LPN's, unless it's changed in the last few years are sadly treated like dogs.

Print out a huge stack of resume's, and just run around to every place you can find.
