I just got accepted to MCC Boswell priority placement!! I'm super excited!

Anyone else want to share their news?

I'm sooo anxious to recieve more info. Has anyone recieved anything other than their acceptance?

Hey everyone,

I'm Brad, and I will be starting with you all in January. Very excited, and a little nervous! Wish I found this blog when it started, too. So is everyone feeling like they've got everything in order to start? I'm feeling like I've got a ton of stuff to take care of, and hope I'm not the only one:)

Are you all close to Boswell or are you making a long commute ( I'm now in Tempe, probably gonna move thou)? Just curious.

I'm coming from Tempe too. I think we are thinking about moving closer to school once our lease is up in march though, not too sure yet though because we love our townhouse out here. My vehicle is terrible on gas so a shorter commute may be a good idea, less time on the road more time to study....

The nurse pack i heard was a total rip off. I have a friend going into blk 4 and she said they didn't use it that much ugh!!! i called gcc today about the nursing pk of books said they didn't get blk 1 yet just blk 3 hopefully in next week. guess i'll get my stethoscope....which one is a good one to get?

They've been saying all week that the books were going to be in this week...Idk I just sent in a text reservation form and I'm gonna go from there. So far as stethoscopes go I have a Sprague thats terrible but I got it forever ago and a Littman thats awesome but they tend to be pricey so you have to look for a good deal. Plus one of my nurses brought up a good point....don't buy one that you're going to be upset if it gets lost or stolen (like a $200 Littman Cardiology one...)

for the most part it looks like those same days except on wednesdays a few times too we have to go in for exams

I think I have all my shots. I wasn't missing anything that was requested on the form. Did you get any kind of notification requesting anything that hadn't been completed?

well I'm going to try it.. I got drug calculations for $4 on amazon. Previous edition but it'll be worth a try.

I got a bunch of books for free from one of my nurses that are like an edition old but I think they're the books were gonna use for block two now instead, like the big ol med-surg nursing book. They must have re-arranged the curriculum because those books were ones that used to be required for block one.
