Anyone accepted to Mesa Boswell Priority placement???

I just got accepted to MCC Boswell priority placement!! I'm super excited!

Anyone else want to share their news?

I'm sooo anxious to recieve more info. Has anyone recieved anything other than their acceptance?

Just wanted to remind everyone to bring their student ID to orientation on Thur!!! I almost forgot.. I'll be going to get mine tomorrow. I went to the math review course today and yesterday. I'm glad I took it. We went over several things that we will be using through the semester.. conversions and stuff like that. I got to meet someone with the same classes as me. The instructor was pretty good. Now I'm just excited for Thur!!!

I was told by a couple of people that we MIGHT be asked to take a drug test during the first 48 hours after orientation. Not that we have anything to worry about, but one of the girls did remind me of something important. Consuming poppy seeds 48 hours before drug testing could result in a false positive result for opiates. So NO poppy seeds people!! It was kind of funny because coincidently, as she was telling me.. I was holding an everything bagel with a bunch of poppy seeds!!! I had already taken a few bites but it should be fine. I know that there are only certain poppy seeds that give a false positive test but the trick is knowing the difference.

Wow thanks for the heads up gosh i was going to eat an "everything" bagel this morning. guess not lol. this is a goofy question but did you get a clip thing for your ID yet? Excited for tomorrow whoo hoo see you soon.

Me too!!!!! I'm going to MCC to get my ID as soon as I get out of work today. Did anyone ever figure out what color our ID is supposed to be? I know someone was told that it was different from what our email had said..

As far as a clip, I'll probably be putting it on the same clip that I use for work. I work at three different hospitals so I carry all my IDs on me at all times so I don't forget them:)

I don't know what the right one is, but mine has a blue background that has maricopa mesa banner boswell nursing on it.

Hm... When we originally received our welcome letter/calendar my proff mentioned a list of things to bring. She also said to come at 830am for tour. But recently my updated email about our class not starting for another week stated that our orientation was still at 9am?

So what time is everyone going lol

I think they had said that our badges needed to be a maroon color. I remember us discussing this... Did u ever follow up with your instructor?

Yeah it seems as if they're not very sure either. There is some type of misunderstanding between the professors and the school. I'm sure we won't be punished even if we have the wrong one tomorrow, but it seems that most of us have the i.d that has a blue background. I haven't come across one person that got a maroon background one.

And do you know where we're supposed to meet at 8:30am? I need to print out the student handbook. lol

I'll just take what they give me... I'm sure that if all of us have a blue badge we should be fine. I don't know where were supposed to meet but I'm sure we'll probably be directed on where to go as soon as we walk in.

Congrads to everyone for the priorty placement!, i didnt get chosen but its A ok, everything for a reason i guess, so how long everyone worked for banner and where and what position?, im at good sam, been a cna for year in march for banner.

I work at Good Sam as a Patient Care Tech, one year on Tele 1C/D and now I'm in Same Day Surgery and also work up in the main Pre-Op/PACU. Been at Good Sam for a little over two years.

Sweetjen2006, just be patient. You'll get in! Make sure to re-apply. I applied in July for the first time. I had just been put on the waiting list. I didn't get in. But I applied again in November and I got in:) I work at Banner Estrella. This next year will be my 5th.
