i am an rpn and i signed up for two staffing agencies as i thought this is good if i want more hours of work.. but after a few weeks i am starting to think this might give me a problem since both agencies cant give me fixed schedule... im thinking there might be conflict when both of them start calling me for work... anybody here who works for two agencies? i need your opinions please... should i let go of one agency and stick to just one? by the way both of them dont know that i signed up with two agencies...

You submit your availability to each. When you are booked by A, you call B and tell them you are no longer available that day.
No explanation is required.

You were warned - by me - that agencies will not give you a regular schedule or even any guaranteed hours. They do not provide benefits. They will not provide any kind of security or consideration to their employees.
problem is i have a 9-5 minimum wage job... i asked them if i should quit my job and stick to health care job but both of them told me they cant guarantee hours for me.. now my availability is only during the weekends.... so i guess i need to just stick with one agency if im only available during the weekends? im just concerned they might find out i signed up for two agencies i might end up not getting any job from both of them,, im just having some problems landing an RPN right now because my license is nearing 3 years without safe practice...
Yes, you've explained that in multiple other threads. You've been given a lot of good advice. You've chosen to apply for work through two different agencies and now you're worried that either you won't get any hours or you'll be offered too many. As Fiona59 has said, if you accept hours with Agency A and then Agency B calls you for the same shift, all you have to do is tell them you're not available. If you want them to keep calling you though, you're going to have to find a way to work at least some hours for each on a regular basis. People who keep turning down shifts don't get called unless they're a last resort. This is a decision only you can make.
Honesty, if you had put as much effort into finding work almost three years ago as you have into these posts you wouldn't be having this issue.
If you are serious about nursing and working for these agencies you should be available from 6pm Friday until midnight Sunday. This increases the availability and shows willing. You might even have to think about missing a few days at your day job to get your foot in the door.
From reading your many posts on the subject will you even get the required number of hours in to maintain your licence with your plan?
i already talked to one of cno representatives and they told me there really isnt that required number of hours to maintain my membership... i dont know how that works but i never bothered asking for details

This is slightly unrelated but what are some staffing agencies that I can apply to?
you an rpn too? there are lots of them :) extendicare, nhi, qualicare.. etc :)
You need to ask for details.
CLPNA requires us to work 1300 odd hours every three years to maintain our practice permit.
Any LPN, retired or inactive can have membership.
There is a difference.
