Anybody Still Waiting?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

To get into nursing school this fall? I know I am letters don't get mailed out until mid to late june. June is going to be a long month for me. I'm lucky I have my CNA class to keep me busy for most of the month. When do your letters go out? Do you feel like you have a good chance to get in? What are you going to do if you don't? I'm taking my egl 101 over (got a C) this summer just in case I don't get in this semester. That way i'll have my gpa boost for when I reapply next spring. I think I have a good chace to get in though.

I turned my applications in back in March and it's still about 2 weeks until letter go out. I'm going crazy because I just want to KNOW already!

I am turning in my application tomorrow. I will be late mid to late june when i find out. Good luck to all of you:)

AHH!!! iam going crazy too ...At my school they will let us know by late June so till then i don't know what in the world i will be doing .. I recently got lay ed off

:( so i have lots of time in my hands which is not a good thing iam going crazy... I applied at several jobs but no word yet ??? bummer Any suggestions?

I am still waiting. Who knows when the letters will go out at my school. They recently changed from a 3 year wait list to a competitive program however they are only accepting the applicants that were on the wait list. They stated that 190 letters went out. On May 5th I stopped by the school and 120 people had taken the TEAS (it was due that day). There are 90 seats in the program so if 120 people applied, then I hope that I have a good chance. It will either be for Fall 2009 or Spring 2010. I was told by the director of the program that she wanted to have everything done by the time her instructors were scheduled to leave on their summer break (finals were last week and graduation was held last Saturday). I would think the decisions were made by now but they did state that if we hadn't heard from them by mid-June to give them a call. It's driving me insane!!! I have a job but I HATE it with a passion and after 7 LOOOONG years, I finally want to be accepted into the RN program.

I'm from California, and from what I've heard from everyone else is that it's heck of a lot harder to get in over here than pretty much any other state. I'm still waiting on one more school. I applied to five, one I did not qualify for because I didn't pass a waiver exam for a dosage calculations class, another I didn't even get on the waitlist because there was so many candidates, the other I was #78 out of 179 for their lottery and only the first twenty got in for sure, the other I was number #572 for their lottery out of 577 candidates for twenty spots as well.

I am still waiting to hear from one school which has 44 spots for fall and I will know wednesday. It's very discouraging, especially since I've been going to school for so long, but I couldn't imagine doing anything else in the world.

I think everyone's time will come at one point. We just have to expect the worst and hope for the best...

I wish the best for you.
