ANybody recieved interviews for CSULB spring 2011?

U.S.A. California

Hi, I was told by an acquaintance that interview invitations for spring 2011 BSN will handed out by september 20th.

THis does seem kind of early, but I haven't heard back from CSULB at all and so I was wondering when the interviews are. The CSULB lady has been very busy and hasn't gotten back to me.

Does anybody know if interview invitations have already been handed out for fall 2010 admissions?

Thanks!!!!

But, it is known for the high drop out rate due to the rigorous course work.

Has anyone taken Patho and Pharm prior to applying?

That is true, but I've also heard that the nursing staff will do everything they can to prevent you from dropping out. They want you to succeed and to not give up. I only know of two people that dropped out after getting into Spring 2010... but that's because it was only CSULB students and the average was not high (from the stats you posted up there).

The stats for Spring 2010 were low only because of budget cuts. Recently (don't know if ya'll are CSULB students, but I am), President Alexander emailed CSULB students, faculty, and staff about budget restoration. So competition for the 90 spots are back on! hahah!

But anyways the nursing counselor told me Spring 2011 is still competitive, not as competitive as Fall's... but still pretty up there....

Bcho- I'm taking Pharm and Patho right now at Golden West College. Easy.

Anyways, I think we'll know our results somewhere around October 20th!

Good luck!

That's right. What did you think?

i think our group was good :] i hope we all get in together!

and aznbc105- they said that we'll get the results around the first week of novemeber. god i wish we'd get them october 20th!

lallen-

really?! i was told differently...

because they've already sent out rejection letters and the President already confirmed state funding for higher education is restored.

haha but we'll see! last spring, the email came in a week and a half after interviews were over.

Same here, I'm studying for patho as we speak.

Go beach!

aznbc105

holy cow i hope you're right!!!!!!!!!! dude knowing by next week would be the best thing ever haha. at the interview they were telling everyone three weeks though, but i was wondering why it would take so long.

oh, and they said they weren't doing emails this time. that it would be by a letter.

after the interview, i asked one of the faculty members who interviewed us when we should expect to find out whether or not we've been accepted. she said that they'll post a list up at the school on november 1st of the accepted applicants but that everyone will also receive a letter on whether or not they've been accepted.

Well, statistically speaking if they have already sent out the rejection letters for the non qualified applicants. Doesn't that mean almost all interviewers are accepted? taking into account that the alternate list will be around 12, which can carry over. Does CSULB consider CSULB students over transfers like USC does?

I really hope its by email!! Thats the quickest way!! Yeah during my interview they said nov 1st and a letter too.

I just hope we r as lucky as last springs applicants.. I wish I knew everyones score on the point scale to get a feel of the competition.. I have an 8.7 .... im not feeling too confident!

mann.. I wanna know by next week too!

freaking out here..

and girls4nursing, it would be really nice to know everyones score lol

but is there anyone who failed the interview? that would be also nice to know and i hope im not the one :(
