the brand my hospital uses:

18g- tan

20g- green

22g- light blue

24g - purple

One thing to do is pick a brand like BD and got to thier WED site for pictures, that might help.

We use the same colors. Also for trauma:

Orange= 14g

Gray= 16g

I just want to warn you not to learn them this way and not look at the packages when you grab them to use them. We had a nurse using a 18 gauge on an infant because they changed colors on her and she was just used to grabbing by the color. My hospital seems to be always changing things and not telling us. Anyhow, the nurse kept wondering how come she was unable to get the IVs and was blowing the veins and then to come out someone told her the colors had changed almost 2 weeks ago!! So she had been doing this for some time. Just a lil' advice.
