HAHAHA!!! Personally, I feel the difficulty of my bio degree (with the exception of O-chem) was nothing in comparison to nursing school (Accelerated BSN). I am getting much better grades in nursing school, but I'm working a lot harder too. Nursing school is difficult in so many ways, not just academically but also emotionally.
Yeah, totally--that's why I've got so much time to spend at this BB. Ha ha, just kidding. Nursing school is very much its own beast. Hard to even make it LOOK easy, lol! But I still spend a lot of time here. It is educational, after all--you find out a lot of stuff they don't teach you in nursing school.
This is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but it is also the most rewarding. It has changed my outlook on numerous things in life and how I see people. After this semester there are only 2 left and I will finally graduate in May of '04! I wouldn't have changed a thing...other than my memory banks if I could!! LOL!
I only had trouble with micro, I went to a hospital based SON, they signed us up for micro at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. They signed us up for the wrong course. I just couldnt relate learning about sewage treatment centers to nursing. I'm not MENSA material, but it wasn't that hard. I sat in class and listened, took notes but only went over them the morning of the test and I passed and scored high on the boards. I was married and had a 9 month old and a 4 year old when I started to school, that was the hard part. I still feel guilty about my babies :/
Well, I just started but I don't think that it is terribly difficult. It is definitely not the hardest thing I've ever done. I've taken advanced chem. courses that I consider to be MUCH harder than anything I've encountered in this nursing journey. I think I'm also finding this to be more enjoyable .... therefore ... it's "easier."
Good Luck!! :)

Hey,
Just curious, is there anybody out there that went through nursing school and thought it wasn't really that hard??
