Anybody applying to Csueb nursing program this year for the fall of 2018?

Nursing Students School Programs

I wanted to get a possible study group going for the Hesi Teas exam. I will be taking mine this December(2017), but if anyone else in the bay area wants to start studying together that would be much appreciated! I have yet to study for it. I have one pre req left this fall (intro to micro). If your also applying to Csueb for the following year it will be great to meet some of you pre nursing students before hand :) , I am also a recently honorably discharged veteran who is new to the bay area! I may apply to deanza nursing program as well if anyone else is in that area as well. if anyone is down to meet at a coffee shop or school comment down below .

I only got 80% on my second trial. But I am wondering, the TEAS exam's maximum trials are only limited for annual or for the lifetime. They said on their website 3 attempts are maximum, is it 3 times every year or what...

I took twice, 80%

GPA 3.68

Not Native

Foreign language

Volunteer

My stats are not looking good I know. It is for sure I won't be able to make it.

What's your guys' stats look like?

I've read through the last year's thread, I'm like pretty much give up on CSUEB now...

I applied to east bay also! my teas are 89.3 and i have a 4.0 GPA and i'm CNA certified. not my #1 choice though so we will see. i have foreign language as french but i dont think its worth that many points. and i get local points.

Anyone heard anything from the nursing department yet?

I am also applying to CSUEB. I've received admission to the school, but still waiting to hear back from the nursing program. Anyone know if we should accept the offer to the school first or should we wait until we hear back from the nursing program and accept/reject based on whether we get in or not?

If the nursing program sends out notifications by May and we need to make a decision by May 1st, how does that work?

that is what i do not understand either, i think the only way is to enroll and then wait, but I do not think that is fair at all

That's what I was thinking too. It just doesn't make sense to me to accept admission to school if I'm not going to be in their nursing program... I'm going to follow up with admission some time this week to verify what we should do.

UPDATE: I spoke with admission and Nursing department today. I learned that it is mandatory that we meet the deadline to accept the offer of admission to CSUEB, which is by May 1st. If we do not get into the program, then they are able to give us a refund as long as we do not attend the orientation.

Nursing department will notify students who are accepted in the program in May through email and mail.

Good to know, Thanks for the info.

Hi, all! Nice to meet you. I got 88% on TEAS, 3.8 GPA, Healthcare Experience, and Volunteer.

& Thanks! I was wondering that too as well with the acceptance deadline. I also applied to SJSU and SFSU. I emailed them this morning to see if those schools would give a refund. I just don't wanna waste money if I'm not accepted :(

East Bay just emailed me stating "We are working hard to get our admission decisions out before May 1st." Hopefully they follow through!
