Any Wayne State Fall 2012 applicants out there?

Published

hi guys,

I am applying to Wayne State University's traditional BSN program for Fall 2012. I just wanted to see if there were any other anxious people out there. I am so glad that it's getting closer to that interview time, but can't help but be concerned. It's so competitive out there! Just wanted to see if there was anyone glued to AN trying to get interview tips like I have been :)

hi guys,

I am applying for next year, so good luck to you! =)

Same here, Traditional for 2012. Getting really anxious!

I was told that interviews were going to be held first week of June.. I know it's a while away, but I can't stop thinking about it! I'm trying to practice interview questions but freaked myself out thinking,"it's too soon! You're being presumptuous! And now you won't even get an interview!" haha I'm my own worst enemy. Have you heard anything about the GPA for this application pool?

Don't beat yourself up! Stay positive! No I haven't heard anything about the GPA, to be quite honest I'm kind of detached from the process. My application is on file and i'm just waiting for my last pre-req to finish so i can run my transcripts to their office. Just out of curiosity did you take a math class or place out of it? I placed out my my math competency isn't showing up on my nursing application? How about you, finishing up any last pre-req's this semester?

I am currently taking math1050 right now. I know that the OSA is kinda of lacking motivation in terms of contacting you when certain paperwork doesn't go through ( I am a transfer from Ca, so I had a lot of paperwork to get sent in) I would suggest calling/emailing the admissions advisor responsible for you ( assigned by first letter of last name- can find out this info on CON website) . I have to turn in my transcript as soon as this class is done and then I'm officially playing the waiting game. Good luck with the math comp.! Hopefully you get scheduled for an interview also! :)

Thank you, you too! Where did you hear that the interviews would likely be the first week of june? When I went to one of their informational meeting I thought I remember them saying the interviews would probably be in july? I could just be remembering wrong.

I has to email the advisor. I would need to schedule a flight in order to be in Detroit for an interview, so I asked when interviews are typically held. The woman said last year it began on June 5th and lasted for a week. I believe the orientation is held in july, but I could be wrong on that.

Well, the official waiting game is on now that math comp has been verified! Good luck to all you (hopefully) future-Wayne staters!

Got the interview!! Now it's time to really stress out! Does anyone have any tips about type of questions they ask? We only get ten minutes so I want to make sure I don't ramble! Thanks!

I just scheduled mine this morning, Good Luck!

Got the interview too. It looks like there only 10min long so it's a time to make or break it for yourself. I would dress nice and come with strong answers. Let me know how the interviews go!
