Hello-
I was just wondering how many, if any, WCC students visit this site.
If so, what semester?
I am currently in my 2nd semester.

I am taking my pre-req's there right now and will apply to the nursing program at the end of August..if the chem class doesn't kill me by then...
Time will fly!!!!
Who is your Chem instructor?
Do you have most of your Pre-req's completed?
I am taking chem with Dr. Bailey. I like him, but I have both class and lab on Saturday, so it makes for a long week. We go through the material very quickly since we only meet once a week, so Stoichiometry is absolutely baffling me...sigh, only 5 more weeks...I am taking Biology this semester also with Dr. Thompson, and all I have to take is Algebra this summer and the math test, then I can apply
oh, by the way, how long did you have to wait to get into the program? I can't seem to get any sort of answer on how long the wait list usually is.

Hey Marcie I am in the first semester of the Nursing Program. I didn't have to wait on a waiting list at all, but I hear it is quite a different story now. I have a few friends who have waited two years and they went to U of M instead. I hope you get in the next semester. Good Luck!
Hi Chick P this is my first semester in the Nursing Program! How has it been so far in the second semester? Marcieg I would advise you to get all your prereq's out of the way.

Hi! I do not attend Washtenaw but I recently spoke to the nursing advisor about the program. She told me the wait list was rather long. She also told me that they have not accepted an out-of-district student into the nursing program in three years! She actually advised me to check out Schoolcraft or LCC because I live in Livingston county. I will be attending LCC in the fall to finish my pre-req's. Good luck with school!:)

Muwah ha ha! I am one of semester three's nursing instructors. Watch out!
No seriously, WCC is one of the best programs around. We consistently score tops in Nursing Boards, local institutions are happy to see us and we have a very good rep. WCC is one of 2 community colleges whose enrollment increased in MI last year. You're in a great program and I'm proud to be a teacher there.

Hi. I just finished Semester 1. I start Semester 2 this coming fall.
I love WAshtenaw. I went to Oakland CC back in 1994-1996 and I didn't do so well (well, I was young and wanted to party m ore than study ) Ive been at WCC since 2000 and the instructors are 100xs better than OCC! I have a friend who has been getting the run around at OCC in regards to the nursing program for 2 years now!
Washtenaw CC expanded their NUR program and they changed their admission criteria.
Here is the link for WCC website, in case anyone needs it.

We took in 60 students in a year at some point and we have the pig-in-a-python thing going on. We have to have spring/summer clinicals for the first time ever, I think. We want to take on more students, so if you're low on the waiting list, don't despair.
