Just wondering what are the odds if you know for sure you got the last question right when the computer shut off of passing? We are fairly certain my husband passed, but just don't know for certain if the PVT is still alive anymore. He got the good pop up. (Multiple test taker, so we are on edge!!) first time ever it didn't actually let us pay.... last questionge knew for sure he got right because we looked it up....FYI: if a pt has a radiation implant and it falls out what do you do? Answer was place it in a lead lined container....that's when the computer shut off at 95 questions. He's been trying since 2014....literally only had one year left to pass! Gosh I hope this is truly it. Please tell me the PVT is still alive!!

The PVT/pop-up test has been known to be inaccurate. I recently replied to a poster who tried checking the same test twice via PVT and got two different results. So one of those results is clearly wrong...problem is, how do we know which one is it?

IMO, save the stress and just wait for the official results. The PVT won't change whether he passes. The PVT doesn't indicate for certain whether he passes. All it does is place unnecessary stress on you.

And I'm not 100% certain, but from what I've always heard, passing or failing isn't based solely on the last question being answered correctly, but how the test taker performed over the last group of questions they answered (I want to say it's the last 60 questions but I'm not sure). If someone has more up-to-date info, hopefully they'll come by to post it.

Best of luck!

I have had explained to me that you can get the last wrong and pass because the better you do, the harder the question is. Obviously at some point, your going to get a question that you will answer wrong, and if its top level question and you have already passed, it may still turn off on a wrong answer.

Ok that makes sense! So technically you could still pass even if you answered wrong on the last question! I just remembered from one of his review classes (Kaplan maybe) they said if you got all 265 if was important to get the last question right. Not sure if that's accurate or not. At any rate, we checked again today and according to the trick, he still passed, we still can't pay! So we shall see í ¾í´—

If the last question you answered was above the passing standard, you will pass the exam. Even if the question was answered wrong, as long as the question was above the passing standard you will still pass the exam. I read this on the NCSBN website.
