If you haven't looked for a job already, especially one in the hospital setting, go for it. I would highly recommend looking for an hourly job at your college. It's not necessarily the best pay and you don't get all a ton of hours, but it's extra money and it's not hard to work at school. It's kinda fun too considering you are dealing with fellow peers. I worked at my college as a tutor for students with disabilities for about a year and loved it. They worked around my school schedule too and it was easy to get time off. I don't work there while in nursing school (I work weekends at the hospital), but it's a great place to start out if you're looking for a job.
Other than that, I would say just pawn off stuff you don't need on ebay or even craigslist if you're desperate xD. You can always ask your parents for money too or just save up on your allowance or do chores. A couple of my classmates actually pulled out a couple grand in loans to not only pay for school, but just to have extra cash on hand. That's actually a decent idea especially if you are going to school at a JC rather than a university since you don't have to pay as much and that that loan will eventually be paid off. Also, if you haven't already apply for scholarships and grants (fasfa).
If you don't have a job, you can try to do task-paid stuff like house sitting, baby sitting, dog walking, maybe some cleaning? When I was in school, I did have a job, but was always looking out for some more money. I asked my neighbors if they ever needed anything with the house or lawn. I mulched a couple of yards, mowed some lawns, things like that.
After you get your CNA, take a look at working for an in home care agency. The hours are conducive to school and the shifts are usually pretty low key, possibly with ample study time.
I have a work study job that I plan on maintaining through the rest of my pre-reqs. I'm not sure what my plan is once I get into nursing school, but I'd prefer to just max out my loans and not work.

Hi everyone!! :) I don't currently work and I'm in first semester or nursing school. Just was wondering for those of you who don't work, what do you do to get some money in that can help you out? Do you guys sell stuff like scentsy, pampered chef etc? Wondering if it's worth it if I should try that or not? Thanks for the help in advance :)
