Hi all, I start my LPN program in about a month and a half!!! Yay ! Can't wait! But what I was wondering if anyone on here current or future students had any advice as to what to do in the next month and a half to go.. Do I just enjoy the rest if the summer with my family while I can or do I do any prep work to prepare??? Any advice appreciated !

Enjoy your summer! I'm so glad I didn't study before my program I would have been burnt out. If you really want to study something brush up on a&p, med terms, and math (for dosage calculations)
It's a beautiful day to save lives.

Just relax and enjoy your free time, freedom, sleep, and family and friends while you can because you will have a busy, hard, and burnt out year. If you want to , maybe for an hour everynight, brush up on some med terms and a&p. Goodluck

Get familiar with math conversions/calculations, A&P and some basic med terms. Study a little bit each day but don't over do it. You have your entire time in the program to study. Just relax and do things before you start the program.

I plan to get my house organized, spend time with my family, and get all my school supplies together.
I'm so excited to start and get this over with. I start August 1st.

I agree with getting your house organized and spending time with family! I start Monday so I have been trying to get all the laundry caught up, mopping, shampoo the carpet, and making some easy dinners for the crock pot that I can throw in before school so my boyfriend doesnt starve. Now if I can get him to help with keeping the house work done I'll be golden.
As for studying I got to talk with a few current students at my school and they suggested reading the first chapters of the books that we will be using right off the bat and doing the questions at the end of the chapters so I am ahead for the first week. That way I can adjust to being back in school

The house will be there after your program is finished. That was a hard pill for me to swallow. Still is. Enjoy time with family. Good luck!
