Any swboces LPN students for 2016

Published

hey I was hoping to get conversation going about the upcoming swboces 2016 LPN program for people that are eitheir applying, been accepted, even past students.... I feel this will keep us all together on program information. I have seen it done for previous years but I can't seem to link with anyone about the 2016 program...I was accepted into the program for this year, looking forward to starting.

But I know it's extremely early for this, but I have been checking indeed.com to just sort of eyeball the trend in LPN positions and it's actually not to bad... A lot better than most people think, so we should be fine.

Hello,

I too have been accepted to the LPN program for this fall (2016). I will be attending the evening program and I was wondering if anyone had any info. On a booklist or orientation dates. I am very happy to see someone else had been accepted into the same school😀.

Hey welcome to the club, I haven't heard anything on a booklist or orientation... But I did hear they were gonna have a prep class for two weeks in August that introduces you into nursing fundamentals and a&p... Don't know much about it, but since the program starts right around the corner I'm sure we are all about to receive lots of program info in the mail....

Ok great thank you! I will post any information once I hear from the school regarding orientation and/or booklist.

Thanks, I will do the same... Even though we are in two different programs day/night we can still support each other because the program rules or policies remain the same

By the have eitheir of you got started on getting the physical, fingerprints, or the drugs screening that we are required to Hand in next month?

Yes all I have to submit are my prints which will be done by this Friday. I've already submitted everything else.

Oh that's great... And I know the payment to hold your seat has to be in within 2 weeks of the date on the acceptance letter, did you hear anything about having an extension of the two weeks for like a couple days?

I actually have a friend who graduated last June (2015) and she advised that they are very strict with the down payment so it's best to get it in ASAP. So I submitted my Pymnt a few days before the two week deadline.

Oh ok, yea most schools are serious about the down payment....and I'm definitely not gonna risk it, I'm just gonna take it in person actually n not send it through the mail....
