Stacy - Good question -- I have a couple of suggestions but I am also interested in what other folks suggest. I have been wearing some inexpensive plastic Rockers clogs and want to buy some better shoes. I like my current clogs as I can easily launder them. I have heard good things about Merrell clogs. I have seen a few folks wearing the Z-coil shoes, but have read that some don't care for them as tubing sometimes gets caught in the coils.
I am interested in Calzuro's autoclavable clogs because they are autoclavable. But they look like they would be hot, and I don't work in an area where I could autoclave them, so they don't make sense for me right now.
I have been amazed at how gradient compression stockings reduce leg fatigue. I don't like pantyhose however, as they are too hot. I am going to try some thigh highs and some of the knee socks.
Congratulations on your graduation and good luck!!!
I bought some expensive Klogz brand shoes that were really comfortable but made my feet sweat like "a _____ in church." Anyhow, I decided to try some of the inexpensive (like $10) ventilated comfort clogs on allheart.com thinking what the heck? Let me tell you, they are the most comfortbale, light weight nursing shoe I've owned. They have a removable padded sole too. I was so surprised! I've had them about 6 months and they've held up too.
Highly suggest Nike shox...
I've tried Nike Shox too, and while they are comfy, I tend to think they are more suited for running, than walking, and provide weak sole support. My feet were hurting after 12 hours walking in them, so I use them for biking now (considering how much I invested in them, they are not really paying off, ).

I am a soon to be recent graduate (1 week and counting). I will be working in the OR at Children's hospital. I would like some suggestions on the best shoes to stand still for long periods of time. Does anyone have a suggestion? Also, I've heard alot about the Z-Coil shoes and was wondering if anyone knew about those? Thanks so much.
