Hi! Could you guys help me on how to study on Pharmacology for the NCLEX-RN exam. I'm going crazy about the meds. I have the Kaplan Medications in a box. Do you guys think it's helpful? Thanks!:)

I just used my pharm text from school. Cheap, because I already owned it.

I'm glancing through my pharm book and doing the questions at the end of the chapter. Also, Saunders has pharm-specific chapters w/questions.

I used the resources I already had. The info for pharm is going to be recall. Know drug classes and what they are for, also wise to learn most imprtant side effects of each class. I went to pharmacist for help and I felt confident in my knowledge. I didnt know many of the drugs but using the endings and remembering when and what they were helped me alot. Good Luck!
Thanks for responding everyone! I'm planning to schedule my NCLEX early 2011 :) I kinda feel nervous coz they say it's really that hard, but I'm doing my best in my self study.I'm keeping things positive. I will pass the boards. Thanks again! :)

Study the drugs when you study the disease or disorders. Use Saunders comp review, then practice pharm questions on Saunders cd-rom. They have 700 pharm questions in study mode, you could do 100 pharm questions a day for 7 days.
Thank you! :)
