Any Roane State Students

I will be applying for the LPN-RN Mobility and was wondering if there are any current students who can shed some light on the program. LPNs are admitted in the 2nd semester on a space available basis. How many LPNs usually pick up in the 2nd semester? I grad next Aug. and was trying for the Spring semester. Is that too soon? I am really tryng to evaluate my chances based on average available spaces. Any insight would be much appreciated.

Hey I'm sorry no one has answered this yet, but I can help a little. I was in the nursing program until this last Fall, I didn't pass the semester math test, so I have to wait until next Fall to finish my last year. When we started 2nd semester our campus in Oak Ridge had 5 LPN's start with us. I think each campus, there are 4 that have nursing classes, had about that many. As far as when to apply I would check with the school, I don't know of any restrictions as far as how long after getting your LPN you have to wait and I only know the deadline for admission to the full 2 year program. It is the 3rd Saturday in January. Check roanestate.edu and then click on the catalog link and find the A.A.S. degree pages for the Nursing program I believe it also talks about the req's for the LPN Mobility. Good Luck!:D

OK, has anyone gotten an acceptance letter for the Fall 2009 Roane State class?

I hope so, I am waiting for a letter to readmit me to finish my senior year and I don't get my letter until all the new people get theirs...I am so anxious!!! I'm pretty sure I'll get back in I did really well my first year in class and clinicals, I just didn't pass the math test for 3rd semester so I was out. It would be reassuring to have a letter in my hand though. ;) I am going to graduation to celebrate my friends accomplishment though!

Well, I heard that they sent they mailed the letters today. I don't know if that's true or not. If it is true, then that means they should be in the mailbox tomorrow or Thursday. I really hope so. This waiting is really tough. I just want to know what I'll be doing next year, ya know? I want to make plans one way or another.

:lol2: I have it in my hot little hands!!! :lol2:

I'll see you there!!! I got mine today too!!!!

Hey Dee78!

Congrats to you, too! I wonder if we know each other or if we've had classes together? Can't wait to meet all the folks in our class! I'm really excited about May 19th! Yippie!

See ya there!

I'm happy for both of you, especially since it means my readmit letter wait won't be much longer! Yay for all of us!!:D

I'm actually doing the RODP online program. We may have clinicals together, I'm not really sure how all of that will work but I will do the theory/didactic online. So no we haven't met in class but we should arrange to actually meet there.

Beth, I hope you get your readmittance.

Do we know how many were accepted?

I don't know how many applied or were accepted yet. I'm sure they'll announce the numbers at the orientation on May 19th. I'm really excited.

Beth, I hope you get your readmit letter quickly. You've been such a blessing and answered so many of my questions over the last year. I'm going to try to pass on your good karma to other folks. In all honesty, the Roane State Nursing program ought to make you the official ambassador!
