Any RNs from Ventura County?

Published

Hi! I graduated last year and recently pass the exam last March. I'm just wondering if you guys know any hospital or LTC around the area that hires new grad/no experience? Thanks so much!

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

I was born and raised in Ventura County (Oxnard), but have not lived there since 2003. I wish I could be of more help. Good luck to you!

Thanks though. I want to move to San Fernando Valley/LA area but it's so hard for me to find a job so I got no choice but to stay here in Oxnard. :( I think St. John stopped hiring new grads and most of the LTC are not hiring. :(

Specializes in ED, Tele, L&D.

You could check CMH in Ventura or Ojai.

cmh, northridge, los robles i know for sure. st johns im pretty sure takes new grads too, i know a couple there. if you need more help then let me know. im a new grad hired into los robles.

Northridge does, I work there. Simi and Los Robles do to from what I've heard. I think it's just tough due to the economy and many hospitals not wanting to pay to train a large quantity of new grads.

I checked St. John's website and nope they don't hire new grads. I tried applying at LTC facilities in Ventura but I was told that they were accepting applications but not hiring right now. I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks!

Hey b18c1! I was interested in applying to los robles when I graduate in june 2012...Do you know if they hire ADN's or do they just want BSN's? THanks so much!

Hi, I am also a new grad and have tried applying to the near hospitals around but no luck. I would really like to work at los robles but also not sure if they take ADN or BSN. Anyone know of any hospitals around willing to take ADN new grad? Thanxs:)

Have you thought about doing home health?

interesting how this thread came back from the dead and i just happened to check it... anyways,

los robles does hire adn, bsn preferred. there is a decent amount of new grads that have been hired recently
