HI,
I am an RN with an associates degree and ready to focus my experience to another level of healthcare. Any of you know of any nurses who went into holistic health, homeopathy or naturopathy? If so how what are you doing with your education/what are you doing for a living?
Thanks

Hi B,
I'm in a pre-nursing program and a long way from my RN, but already feeling pulled toward homeopathy/naturopathy. I'd love to learn more too.
One hospital nearby has a solitary holistic health nurse, but that's all. I think (and hope) more opportunities present themselves as time goes by. I'd certainly love to hear about them when they do!

Have you considered joining the American Holistic Nurses Association? My understanding is you are not required to be specifically trained in "alternative" healing, yet have desire to practice Holistic Nursing. The association teams you up with a network of like minded Nurses with all levels of expertise.
I too bring a Holistic focus into my nursing practice and am pursuing a career as a Holistic Nurse Practitioner.
This may be a good start, also some university and community colleges offer classes on theraputic touch, etc.
Hope this helps,
C
Great idea, C; I'll take a look. Thanks for pointing me to them.

I got my other two degrees in holistic nutrition. I work in home health and disease managment and everyone tosses their nutrition folks my way. I love it.
