I have two good friends who have worked at NIH for years. One is now a researcher (Ph.D) They rave about it. You will get totally spoiled as a nurse there I hear! I've shadowed up there a few times and everyone is really incredibly nice and it's very very academic. I call it Mecca for healthcare nerds. LOL! Go to their website and there's a link to job opportunities. Just have to skip around a bit and you'll find it. I believe nurses start out at $60K a year last time I checked. It says you need 2+ years experience but things like that are usually flexible. I'm applying as a new grad and we'll see what happens. :)
I would check Georgetown and GW too!
