Hi, I was interested in hearing from anyone who has applied in recent months to St. Vincent's College. There has been a huge change in how their admissions process goes now. Has anyone applied who has not taken all pre-req's and was accepted or put on a wait list? Or, on the other hand, did take all pre-req's and NOT be accepted? I am wondering if they decide on a case to case individual basis? I am taking PSY & PHI (Ethics) starting in 3wks and may apply now for admission into the Extended program for a start of Fall 08'. I am seeking my 2nd degree, I was a practicing Registered Dental Hygienist until major knee reconstruction in 05' and am just getting back to taking my pre-req's. Unfortunately I will need to take all classes over again because it has been 15yrs since graduating(they are all what I took prior for Dental Hygiene w/the exception of Ethics, PSY 112, & Religion) I don't mind though because you really need to have current knowledge esp. in all science related courses. I want to wait until the Fall to take Int Alg. so I can do a lot of reviewing before!! Sorry I've rambled. I do hope I have a chance of being admitted w/taking many pre-req's before. Anyone who may be applying to St. Vincent's this Spring I'd love to hear from you. Thanks for reading this. Happy New Year!

I will do my best to try to help you. I am a current student at St vincents. They have changed the application procedures because of the influx of students that applied in previous years. I think because you already have a degree, you will have a better chance of getting accepted. I am a second semester student and was accepted in the extended program. I took A&P 1& 2, Microbiology, Chemistry, Psy 1 and 2 before I started the nursing program. If you want, you can clep a few classes. I clepped Sociology. Good luck to you. If I can help you with anything, please email me. I will be happy to help.

Congratulations and best of luck to you both, for deciding to become nurses and for choosing St. Vincent's. I just graduated from there last May, and it was the best experience of my life, outside of motherhood, that is!

hello. I am have also applied to St. Vincent's for teh Fall 07 program. I have completed all of my pre reqs. and most of my electives. I am hoping for the best!! I have also applied to a few other programs. Last year I applied to only 2 programs and found taht it is pretty competetive out there because there are more qualified students than there are spots for them!! Good luck and keep me posted...does anyone know when we hear from teh school?? Do we hear in the spring when the other schools send out letters or is it a rolling admission????

I am a current a prenursing student at St. V's and currently on the fall 2007 waiting list nursing student due to the influx of student applications and applying late. I know that pretty much most of my classes are on the wait list for 2007, that about 100 people as I know. I would call them and make sure that if your accepted that you would be able to start the fall and approximately how many applicants they are accepting. Good luck
The last semester, there were three nursing 101 sessions with approximately 40 students in each session.
I am a second semester nursing student, if I can assist you with any tips when you do get accepted, please do not hesitate to email me.
I will be happy to help.
The program is great!
Good luck to you all!
does anyone know when they send out their acceptance letters???? I am a pretty cranky person waiting on edge to hear back from these nursing programs!!
Notification letters will be mailed on April 1st
